Very happy that my sister and I found this spot on our last day in Taormina. The food was delicious and went perfectly with our capuccinos. Highly recommend, great service included as well 5/5

In the center of Taormina, a stone's throw from the cable car, there is this place that serves selected wines, excellent aperitifs, quality platters and typical local tastings. Impeccable service, kindness and courtesy. Via the location, correct prices

Lovely little Sicilian wine and food bar, super friendly staff and reasonably priced. Lovely and filling. We had three of the Sicilian bread sandwiches with mozzarella, pistachio pesto, sun dried tomatoes and aubergine, can certainly recommend! We also had three of their organic sparkling Sicilian lemon drinks which was lovely! Great vibe and friendly atmosphere. Staff were lovely and smiley, happy and super professional!

This was our go-to wine-bar/café on this holiday in Taormina. Less than 50 metres from our accommodation, it was a single long narrow room with a shorter balconied upper-floor accessed by a narrow spiral staircase. It was invariably busy and pleasant; apart from the TV which was always-on showing live performances of modern pop music. Absolutely everything we ate and drank here was really very good, or excellent.
The very good Grillo wine was sold by the glass at €6 per 175ml. Unless you preferred wine from the same grape variety, but from vines grown on the slopes of Etna; there was a difference in flavours and quality, but also with the price which increased to €8 per 175ml glass. Wine was always served with very crispy, mildly tasty, dried pieces/chips of pizza; they were decidedly moreish.
The food was just great, and there was an impressive variety of snacks/small-meals including three types of Arancini, Pizzetta (mini pizzas), and lots of cakes/tarts which looked good. I particularly liked the Arancini Ragu, the Cartocciata Prosciutto (a soft dough filled with ham and cheese) folded and cooked like a calzone pizza. The Meatball and Cheese Cartocciata was very good too. I didn’t try either the Mortadeli with Pistacchio, or Salame Piccante Cartocciata. My Partner tried a set of four mixed vegetarian bruschetta which she enjoyed.
Being sat outside at one of the tables, on the mostly pedestrianised Corso Umberto (the main thoroughfare through Taormina Centro) was our preference. We could people watch, sip good and cold wine, and totally relax.
The staff all worked hard, and one lady spoke good English, and another (part-time) lady was always ready to serve with a smile. The manager didn’t smile a lot, and he didn’t seem to engage with clientele unless he really had to.
