FrancescoVini was an absolute pleasure. The staff could not have been nicer—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely excited to share their passion. They even took the time to show us their wine cellar, which made the experience feel personal and special. The wine list is unbelievably well priced, especially for the quality and selection. It’s rare to find a menu like that, and it made exploring different bottles even more enjoyable. The Florentine steak was the star of the meal—perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and full of flavor. Overall, FrancescoVini combines warm hospitality, great wine, and excellent food into an experience that’s hard to beat.

Elegant restaurant just a few meters from Piazza Signoria and the Lungarno. Good local cuisine and attentive service. The wine selection is above average. We had pappardelle and rabbit, both good. We were disappointed by the beans, which were bland and lacking in oil (which was promptly brought to us). A special highlight is the visit to the cellars, once a Roman theater, now incorporated into the buildings. Prices are in line with the offerings. Recommended/

Go there your first night because you will go back every night after! We get so tired of restaurants not meeting expectations. Having lived in Italy for 5 years, and Florence being our favorite city…Whenever we go there, Francesco Vini is the ONLY restaurant we go to. The food is always delicious (perfectly prepared) and the wine selection (ask Fabio for his recommendations) makes every meal memorable. Fabio, the owner, makes you feel right at home and his staff is very professional (interacting as much or as little as you want). Of course, if you love history, ask about their wine cellar. They will become one of your favorites. Don’t miss this experience!

The location was very relaxed, and the service was efficient and friendly. The wine selection was very appealing, and we thoroughly enjoyed both the wine and the food. Unfortunately, I have to deduct one star for the ambiance. The door was so loud when opened that it slammed every time someone went out for a drink break.

Staying in Florence for three months - this place was on our regular rotation. Wonderful pasta dishes prepared just right and very flavorful. Peposo is a crowd favorite. Florentine steak was one of the best in town. Service was exceptional - especially Pasquale and Fabio! We brought all of our guests here and they still rave about it. The food didn't quite live up to our expectations, but the ambiance and service certainly did. Food: Of the five dishes we ordered, one was unfortunately not very good, and the others were average. My friends had been here before and raved about the food. Perhaps the chef was having an off day. These things happen... Service: Absolutely nothing to complain about. On the contrary: very nice, attentive, friendly, and always ready with a joke. Ambiance: Not the most beautiful restaurant in Florence, but very authentic and cozy.

I forgot to give it a review, I must have been too enveloped by the food and overall experience. Excellent gnocchi, great rabbit pasta, excellent risotto, and good pomodoro. Definitely recommend.

Definitely a must-visit during your time in Florence! Fabio, the shop owner, was absolutely lovely and recommended some amazing dishes to try. We ordered the 1.45kg Florentine steak — one of the best we’ve ever had — perfectly tender and flavorful, and at a reasonable price too. He even offered us two glasses of wine to sample, which was such a nice touch. 100% recommend!

We loved this restaurant. The food was amazing and the bistecca fiorentina is the best we tried on our visit.
