Definitely a must-visit during your time in Florence! Fabio, the shop owner, was absolutely lovely and recommended some amazing dishes to try. We ordered the 1.45kg Florentine steak — one of the best we’ve ever had — perfectly tender and flavorful, and at a reasonable price too. He even offered us two glasses of wine to sample, which was such a nice touch. 100% recommend!

We loved this restaurant. The food was amazing and the bistecca fiorentina is the best we tried on our visit.

This is a must visit dining experience in Firenze. Amazing service, truly authentic food and the setting in 50-80AD is something only serious food lovers would appreciate. The wine cellar is so amazing to see that you can have any wine of your choice knowing Fabbio has kept it and cured it to perfection. If there were 10stars this establishment would get 10 for the experience. Well done Francesco and Fabbio.

Friendly clean service . Strong English & Italian. I only had the beef stew and it was beyond wonderful. I am almost 70 years old and have eaten beef stew all over and this was moist flavorful robust yet smooth and tender . The pepper sauce matched my strong Barolo wine . Not low cost but definitely high quality!

The pasta was decent, but the service was disappointing. While the waiter was friendly and talkative with other tables, I received almost no interaction—even when serving dishes. As a Chinese traveler, I couldn’t help but feel I was treated differently. I hope this wasn’t intentional, but it left me uncomfortable. Everyone pays the same and deserves the same service.

This is perhaps the finest dining experience possible on the third planet from the sun. The Florentine steak exceeded all expectations. Our party of four shared one along with the truffle mashed potatoes, and salad. The Bolgheri was died and gone to heaven. Fabio, the owner spent much time with us table side explaining the aging, 4 to 6 weeks, the wine and blending, finished with a lemon cello sorbet.
