“A hidden gem… worth the line outside!” I don't normally write reviews, but in this case I really feel I have to make an exception: it's surprising that a restaurant like this doesn't have a line outside on a Saturday night. We're talking about a small seafood restaurant where the food is truly excellent: carefully prepared dishes, fresh, high-quality ingredients, and a cuisine that knows how to bring out the best in flavors. Last night, six of us were there, and we all left enthusiastic. We started with a selection of appetizers that alone was worth the visit: the standouts were the calamari cacio e pepe chips (original and delicious), seafood arancini, and a seafood salad that melted in your mouth—I challenge anyone to find a better one! Next up was an excellent scampi cream risotto, creamy and fragrant, and a mixed grill of fish that I sincerely regretted not photographing: plentiful, varied, and delicious, accompanied by a chicory salad that added a fresh, crunchy touch. The portions were generous, so much so that we adults stopped before dessert... but my teenage son managed to enjoy a tiramisu that he called "excellent"—and that's a huge compliment from him. A final note (but no less important): the owner/chef and his mother, who runs the dining room, are incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive, which adds even more value to an already excellent experience. The price is in line with the excellent quality and abundance of the dishes. In short, a place to return to and one I would recommend without hesitation.

What a lovely place. From the first warm welcome of the lovely hostess (the chef’s mama) to the incredibly fresh seafood and great attention all the way the end. 10/10 would recommend!! Go here :))

We ordered for dinner and, to our surprise, the delivery was made directly by the owner: a rare and much appreciated gesture. The food was truly excellent, with authentic flavors and incredibly fresh fish, something you'd rarely find with home delivery. We had a delicious and delicate salmon tartare topped with myrtle berries, a generous seafood risotto, al dente and particularly flavorful, and tuna ragù rolls: truly delicious, flavorful yet balanced, with a unique taste. The prices are in line with the average, but decidedly competitive considering we're in Rome. Furthermore, it's a great alternative to the usual delivery platforms like Just Eat or Deliveroo, which often fail to arrive or are delayed in our neighborhood due to poor transport links. Friendly service, quality ingredients, and great customer service: highly recommended!

My husband and I had dinner last night. I wanted to first say a few words about the lady who welcomed and served us, who is also the mother of the owner and chef! She was truly kind and made us feel right at home. The service was fast and attentive. The appetizers, including a raw and a cooked dish, were truly delicious and flavorful. You could tell the fish was fresh. The first courses were also very good and plentiful. The owner, who is also the chef, was also truly kind and polite. We will definitely be back. Thank you 😊

Fishfood is THE absolute place to eat fresh, delicious, and high-quality fish in Rome without ever being disappointed. Excellent fried food, flavorful mussels, and incredible fish main courses, prepared with love and in abundance! Highly recommended for everyone in the Quarto Miglia area and beyond.

A wonderful evening in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere with attentive service. Traditional cuisine, and for those who dare, there are also unusual but very pleasant pairings. Impeccable cleanliness. Perhaps a little out of the way, but worth it.

A delightful little restaurant in the IV Miglio district. Excellent fish, perfectly cooked and presented. Angelo and his mother are attentive to their guests' needs. Prices are average, considering that everything is seafood. The atmosphere, with its seaside theme, is cozy and welcoming. We already knew Fish Food on Via dei Gozzadini, which we've been frequenting for years when we want to eat fish. There's no reserved parking, but there's a place on Via Annia Regilla. I highly recommend it.

Fresh fish, seasonal vegetables, a casual atmosphere, and attentive service. If you have special seafood requests, you can call and make a reservation. Among the most delicious dishes, I recommend the classic spaghetti with clams, the creamed cod with polenta, the octopus croquettes (delicious!), the fried calamari and shrimp, and the sautéed chicory (the best I've ever had in Rome). Angelo and Anna have a long history in the restaurant business, and having them in Quarto Miglio is a real asset!
