The castle has undergone extensive restoration. We happened upon a guided tour led by Chiara, who made everything very interesting. A small but pleasant tasting followed.

A Duchy castle that has its charm from the outside. Unfortunately, we didn't take the guided tour, so having not seen the interior, I can't comment on it.

The experience at Felino Castle unfolds in deliberate sequence. It begins with the museum tour a quiet walk through centuries of history. The stone corridors, artifacts, and preserved rooms give a tangible sense of the region’s heritage. The guides keep it sharp and focused just enough context to make you feel anchored in the story the castle tells. Dinner follows, but it isn’t a simple meal. The murder-mystery act plays out between courses, and the performers are exceptional fluid, believable, and fully engaged with the guests. Each act blends seamlessly with the service. One moment you’re laughing, the next you’re piecing together clues while enjoying perfectly executed local dishes. The food stands on its own merit: rich, balanced, and unmistakably Emilia-Romagna. Service remains composed even as the theater unfolds around the tables. Felino Castle manages to merge culture, cuisine, and performance without losing control of any part. It’s rare to see history, storytelling, and dining integrated this well
