Fame Da Lupi In Tropea

We were hungry for meat and fortunately found Fame da Lupi open. We didn’t have reservations but they were able to accommodate us. The selection of available meat was very good and quality. The service was excellent and the food came out fast and perfectly cooked. We will definitely return to Fame di Lupi the next time we are in Tropea.

We had a wonderful lunch here today. The food is both high quality and homey with a lot of local flavors. Recommended without hesitation!

Surprised we are... We were hoping to have a few beers and eat something... after hours of traveling at a time that is not usual for visiting Tropea... and we found magnificent cuisine, some truffled eggs that are amazing in flavor and what can we say about the pasta dish we ordered, it had a prize 🏅 and we are not surprised... what can we say about the magnificent treatment...

If you're not always just looking for Italian cuisine and are also looking for some variety in the dishes, this is the place for you. From mega steaks to frequent daily specials to original Italian cuisine, everything is on offer here. Owner and chef Cristian also conjures up an excellent onion soup made from the famous Tropea onions. Awesome shit!! His brother, co-owner and burger god Cosmo takes you to the seventh heaven of burger lovers.🙏 Beer lovers will also get their money's worth with different types of beer. The rustic ambience plus the friendly service round off the meal. The restaurant has an outdoor area on the street, is open when most other restaurants are closed, offers, in our opinion, the greatest variety in the food and is attractive from the outside with the drying cabinets in which you can choose your steak. Only a few steps away from the best viewing point and the center, this is our tip.

Some of the best food we had during our 1-week trip to Calabria. Wish we had discovered this place earlier.

Ci eravamo già stati un paio di anni fa e, avendo voglia di mangiare della carne, ci siamo ritornati, visto che il ristorante è rinomato proprio per la qualità e offerta di vari tipi di carne. Abbiamo ordinato una tagliata di manzo con rucola e scaglie di grana e una fiorentina di 400 gr. I contorni naturalmente sono da ordinare a parte, quindi abbiamo preso delle verdure grigliate e un'insalata. Il servizio è stato abbastanza veloce ma quando ci hanno portato le pietanze ci siamo accorti subito che la carne era tiepida, quasi fredda. Dopo aver segnalato la cosa al cameriere ci siamo sentiti dire che i piatti si sono raffreddati per via dell'aria condizionata presente nel locale e altre scuse. La carne è stata servita su piatti freddi (cosa sbagliatissima con la carne che si cuoce al momento!), probabilmente poi non è stata servita subito al tavolo restando in cucina per un momento che ha fatto sì che la carne si raffreddasse. Per rimediare alla cosa ci hanno portato una piastra calda così abbiamo potuto mangiare la carne restante calda. Peccato perchè la carne era veramente tenera. Anche le verdure grigliate erano cotte male e quasi bruciate. In ogni caso quello che ci ha dato fastidio è che il cameriere non si è scusato, ma ha continuato a campare un sacco di pretesti per giustificare la cosa. Bastava rifare il tutto e portarci i piatti caldi e fumanti. Delusi!! Non ci ritorneremo.

Excelente! Fabulosa comida, vino y servicio. Fuimos con mi pareja, los dos comimos filete mío con salsa de pimienta en grano y el suyo con setas frescas cocinadas a la perfección con patatas y verduras a la parrilla acompañadas de una botella de tinto de la casa. La mejor comida en Tropea hasta ahora y por el precio, la calidad y el ambiente bien valió la pena el dinero. Lo recomendaría a fondo y sin duda volveremos a visitar antes de irnos.
