With my wife we ​​had dinner in this elegant, refined, historic restaurant, pizzeria and bar which has existed for 100 years and was once frequented by local and national political VIPs located in the center of Genoa in Gallleria Mazzini with internal tables and also at the entrance with dehors covered. American actors and singers such as Frank Sinatra and Woody Allen also frequent this restaurant. We ordered spaghetti with calamari and Genoese minestrone as first courses and grilled new sea bream and Ligurian sea bream as second courses. Finally, for dessert, natural berries and strawberries with lemon. Truly everything delicious, good and plentiful. The staff was well dressed, welcoming, smiling, knowledgeable, professional, friendly and the service was attentive and fast. A mention must also be made for the owner Silvio, who was very kind, welcoming, competent and told us the whole history of the restaurant and the good Genoa that once was. The prices are high but fair for the quality of the dishes. The restaurant also has tables at the entrance, which however remain indoors as they are in the Galleria Mazzini... there is a large, well-furnished lounge on the upper floor with windows overlooking the gallery; you can also appreciate the structure with iron pillars, in line with the whole environment which is inspired by the Parisian "passages". The appetizers to introduce the meal are good, including cheese focaccia

This is where the local middle class and business men and woman go daily lunch in center. A good place for a good and unpretentious lunch. Not sure why the only 4.1 star rating. Even in evening I go there. Is a Genovese staple in the center. No bad surprised. Freshly prepared tPical italian food.

21/09/2024: Ottimo pranzo fatto presso questo ristorante. Erano anni che non gustavo uno spaghetto alle vongole fatti in modo superlativo. E così anche l’abbondante fritto di veri calamari freschi. Ottimo servizio e prezzi contenuti. Bravi. Da ritornarci assolutamente.

02/02/2025: We went for lunch on Sunday. I had vitello tonnato as an appetizer. Completely failed. The sauce tasted of nothing and was very liquid. Poor meat. My rating goes up a little thanks to the pansoti. You could tell they were homemade as was the sauce. Both were good. The owner was very confused and managed the dining room operations in a clumsy way. Too bad. They could do much better.
30/01/2025: Business lunch with typical Ligurian cuisine in a characteristic restaurant on the first floor of a building in the historic center
