Erbaluigia is a very nice restaurant with friendly and attentive service. The food was absolutely delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We’ll definitely be coming back on our next visit to Pisa.

Excellent food and excellent service. The owner is very knowledgeable about both food and wine. The staff is polite and knowledgeable. The location is very nice, with an outdoor terrace.

Fantastically delicious food, really nice service and a very cozy courtyard. The only downside was the smoking guests. Everything else was fantastic.

I've found a special place in the chaos of touristy Pisa, and it's called Erbaluigia. After several disappointing visits to the city, I'd almost resigned myself to only eating toasted sandwiches or Caprese salad with subpar mozzarella. Instead, here it is, a secluded restaurant that you don't notice from the outside but that surprises you as soon as you enter. The decor, the fresh flowers. The homey smell wafting from the kitchen. The painting of tortellini. The unexpected back garden, the banana tree in the city.
The host explains that the fish is only fresh and local, and today is Monday, so only two fish are available. So I opt for the house specialty that the painting at the entrance had already hinted at: mortadella tortellini, but with a fish reduction instead of the usual broth. (We also order some blue fish with side dishes that the chef decides on based on what she found at the market.) The tortellini alone are worth the trip, an unexpected but highly successful experiment! We're served fragrant bread made with rare grains and sourdough that smells of times gone by. When it's time for coffee, we're brought a small plate of entirely plant-based petite friandise, consisting of watermelon jelly, dried plums with coconut and cardamom, and maraschino cherries. They were so delicious, I didn't even have time to photograph them. The service was attentive and meticulous. A lovely wine list. One more reason to visit Pisa.

An elegant and welcoming venue with a delightful garden, perfect for a truly enjoyable dinner. The cuisine is top-notch, and the seafood is exquisite. Kudos to the staff, too; we felt pampered.
