When I think of Ischia, this is the first place I think of. First time visiting the island, it was on an overnight trip from Sorrento. Sorrento is bright and bustling, and crazy busy. Coming to Ischia, wasn't sure what to expect, but it's fair to say, life is at a different pace here. And sitting outside this bar , drinking a biancolella, watching the world go by, is what typifies Ischia for me. The other element that typifies the island for me is the warm welcome you get from the people. Alessia and Giacomo are wonderful people, I've loved many conversations with them each time we visited the island. They are such warm and caring people, and you feel that when you visit their enoteca. Pop in and have a drink and a chat, and you will walk away smiling

Excellent aperitif! Excellent Ischian wines, and we highly recommend the Campanian cured meats and cheeses platter. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Fantastic wine, seats inside or outside in the street, a few Belgian style beers on as well. We had a cheese board and some brusheta and absolutely loved it. Service was great, very helpful choosing the wine.

What a fabulous wine and beer bar. We made this our local while on Ischia. Three good beers from a local brewery on the mainland and a range of wines by the glass. All the wines are either from the island or the mainland. A lovely couple who run this and it comes highly recommended. Can you set up in the UK please?

So happy we stopped in by chance on our way to visit the castle! Small tagliere of charcuterie/cheese and a couple glasses of red wine made it a perfect stop! We will be back!

Lumos Pub

12/12/2025: We were there during the week, so the place had 4-5 tables occupied. It was a truly wonderful experience, so much so that we'll be back in the summer to try eating outside. The decor was very thoughtful, and the actor dressed as Voldemort was truly brilliant. He was friendly and never intrusive. It really wouldn't have been the same without the entertainment, so well done! The food was truly excellent, although these themed places are always more about the location than the food. The kids had a classic cutlet sandwich, so nothing elaborate. What I really appreciated was the wide selection of vegetarian options. As a vegetarian, I often find myself in places with a single standard dish, but here there's a lot of choice. The price was absolutely in line with the experience, around 20-25 euros per person (the beers inflated the bill a bit). The sandwich was also so big that I couldn't even finish dessert. It will be for next time 👏
28/11/2025: Lumos is a great little pub with a welcoming vibe and surprisingly amazing food. I tried their burger, and it was very good juicy, flavorful, and definitely one of the better pub burgers I’ve had. I spent about €15, and it was absolutely worth it. If you’re looking for a relaxed spot with quality food, Lumos is definitely worth a visit.

13/12/2025: What can I say...it's hard to think of a better experience than this one when thinking of a grill. Refined cuts and top-notch expertise.
