Housed in a late 18th-century building, Palazzo Laderchi, at the beginning of Piazza della Libertà and opposite the 15th-century Cathedral, Enoteca Astorre has been a regular meeting place for Faenza residents and tourists seeking to combine quality cuisine with the culture of fine wine since 1986.

Something has changed... especially in the kitchen, but not everything else... The dishes look painted, the flavors are authentic, and the technique is anything but banal. This is certainly thanks to some changes in the kitchen.

Every time I visit the lovely city of Faenza, I absolutely must dine at this elegant wine bar. Aside from the excellent wines, I've always eaten well, in an elegant yet friendly atmosphere. The pasta is phenomenal; I've always found great attention to detail in every dish. Tastefully decorated, the location is incredible, especially if, like us, you live abroad and don't always have the opportunity to admire the Faenza Cathedral or its historic buildings with a glass of good wine in hand or while dining. The staff is professional and always very kind. We travel the world for my husband's work and always frequent excellent restaurants; this one absolutely deserves praise.

The beauty of the square helps a lot. The three stars for the food are the average, the five for the wines, and the only one for the food (dishes to be enjoyed with great humility). The staff do their best in the dining room, but in the long run, they struggle to handle criticism about the dishes. The prices are fair for the wines, excessive for the food.
