Excellent food, good service, and a great atmosphere: in the summer, dining outside is wonderful given the location, but in the winter, if you end up inside, it's not so great. Drinks are overpriced (33cl beer €5, tap water €2.50), and bruschetta costs €6 (cherry tomatoes and three anchovies, definitely too much). The pizza is delicious, as are the amazing supplì! The coffee and desserts are also good.

A pizzeria with many spaces and welcoming rooms. I had a truly delicious supplì with a buffalo mozzarella center and a wonderful breading. The pizzas are well-topped and flavorful, a cross between Roman and Neapolitan (with a moderate crust). The service is always friendly and attentive.

In the small village of Maccarese, this pizzeria stands out, having transformed itself over time into a true reference point for those seeking quality, tradition, and conviviality. Maccare' captivates from the first glance with its attention to raw materials and its evocative setting, capable of recounting the history of the place.
Located in the oldest part of the village, near the Castle of San Giorgio, the pizzeria is now a summer evening institution, but has also established itself in winter as the ideal place for authentic dining. The star of the show is the wood-fired pizza, prepared according to tradition but enriched with both classic and creative toppings, always balanced and of the highest quality.
The pizza with puntarelle and anchovies, intense and Roman in character, is certainly worth mentioning, as is the new "Natale" pizza, designed for the more curious and courageous: an original journey that takes the palate from savory to sweet, reinterpreting traditional Christmas dishes in a surprising way.
The restaurant is extremely distinctive, with internal arches that recall the historic architecture of the village and outdoor tables made from large barrels, perfect for creating a unique and convivial atmosphere, especially on summer evenings.
The appetizers are also interesting and innovative, especially the "scudi": slices of homemade bread topped with rich, bold sauces like cacciatora or oxtail stew, but also more delicate options like chickpeas, stracciatella, and zucchini flowers, which enhance simplicity with flavor.
To complete the experience, a truly superb draft beer, perfect to accompany every item on the menu.
A place worth trying just for the evocative atmosphere and the genuine hospitality of the owner, always present and capable of making every guest feel at home, adding that human touch that makes Maccare' even more special.

The supplì are quite good; the pizza is Neapolitan but not, just okay. A little too burnt, flour remains in the oven, and it should be cleaned more often. I mention this because I work in the restaurant industry too, so it's just a suggestion.

Authentic Neapolitan pizza. Excellent dough, delicious toppings. The specials aren't always worth it, but the traditional ones are excellent. It's all about taste. The supplì are amazing!
