Elektrobau Bar In Bologna

Came here around 11:30 pm, and the bar was empty. The owner told us that we were early, and it turned out he was right! The bar was heaving two hours later. The lady owner was Australian and super friendly, knows her stuff really well. Suggested cocktails for us, and also suggested some changes to suit our taste. nice vibe. Had a lovely long chat to the lady Boss. Will recommend, I will return if in Bologna again!

Fantastic cosy indoor/outdoor bar with thoughtful theming, genuinely friendly owners and excellent drinks. Will definitely be returning.

Full disclosure: I know the owners. I stopped by Elektrobau Bar a few times on a recent trip to Bologna, and this place is an absolute highlight. You know you're in Italy when someone has painted something on the ceiling. I loved the whole aesthetic of the bar, the music, the drinks, the staff. The whole atmosphere is next-level. Pro-tip for travelers: Check out one of the bar's English Aperitivo nights. It’s a masterclass in meeting cool people, enjoying killer cocktails, and getting the real insider scoop on the city. Skip this and you'll be doing Bologna wrong.
