Unfortunately, it was an average experience... we started with the red sangria, and it tasted like cheap wine. Normally, there's a little juice in a sangria... there were two apple segments and two orange segments, that's it. We had the El Salvador nachos, which were very good, I recommend them. The main courses were very disappointing... I had the tacos. First, there wasn't any guacamole, it was just avocados, and they weren't ready. They were very hard, and they weren't very good. Also, the chicken was so dry and the breading was so overpowering that it took up half the taco, and they only put salad on top to hide it. I would have liked to tell my waitress, but she never came back to see us. As for the chorizo ​​burrito, it was good, but the side was rather disappointing... 3 chips and that's it. The avocado quesadilla was very good, but once again the avocados weren't ripe enough. Pros: Several vegetarian options were available on the menu. The owner was there and was very kind! Cons: Some items on the menu, as well as the atmosphere, were lacking. We went on a Wednesday around 8 p.m., but there were only three tables full in the restaurant, which wasn't very festive.

The food was good, overall plentiful. In short, to satisfy your curiosity to try a burrito, it's worth it. The atmosphere is a bit too spartan, but the staff is friendly.

I gave the restaurant 4 stars because the service and ambience was very good. The waiter was trying so hard to please I had the classic fajitas which were served very hot. Everything was fresh, meat tender , great presentation. It just didn't have a lot of south American flavor. I'm comparing it to fajitas we have in the US so it may not be fair. I don't think the Italians are really big on adding spices to flavor food. They tend to eat food naturally. My husband it was the same with his food. We did have the churros which were hot and very tasty. So if you are tired of pizza and pasta I would recommend this restaurant. Ask for extra salsa!.

Stopped here for a small bite to eat and a cocktail. Food was lovely and the staff here are brilliant and super friendly. I recommend trying the Pina colada!

I have had the opportunity to try the food of the Mexican restaurant El Salvador several times, located in the historic center of Salerno and I think it is really a place worth trying. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, the staff is super friendly and always ready to help you. The food is very good, with authentic flavors that make you want to come back. It is the right choice to spend a pleasant evening in company.

Premetto di non essere mai stato in Messico. Questo potrebbe far ridere qualcuno, ma non me. Nel senso che questa recensione non è basata su nessun fondamento di paragone e non è da poco. SI mangia discretamente. E la recensione potrebbe finire qui. In tranquillità. E invece no. Il locale è illuminato male ed è scomodo, nonostante facciano di tutto per scaldare l’atmosfera resta abbastanza fredda, se come noi, sei seduto all’esterno. Il cameriere in sala simpatico e cordiale, propenso al dialogo a alla battuta. Tipico cibo che ti aspetteresti di trovare, e non è scontato. C’è sicuramente di tutto per mettere d’accordo tutti. Il sapore in generale è gradevole e non c’è il piccante ovunque, anche se lo puoi tranquillamente aggiungere. Fritto leggero ed asciutto, patti della giusta abbondanza e del giusto prezzo. La sangria purtroppo non ci è piaciuta. Nota negativa, ogni 20 minuti è entrato un ambulante diverso cercando di vendere qualcosa. Nel complesso un luogo dove lasciarsi andare ad assaggi proibiti alla ricerca del troppo piccante. Che a me non dispiace.
