Duomo Cafe Matera In Matera

It was very windy and cold, we had a delicious coffee, the space is very nice

We stopped just for coffee. The lovely waitress advised us on our choice! I had a delicious Crema al caffe. Fantastic! The only downside is the so-called Coperto added to the bill!

The bar is located right in the city center, opposite the cathedral. It's an elegant location, but my compliments go to the waitress. I noticed she speaks several languages—English, French, and Spanish—and she's extremely kind. The quality of the products we were served was excellent. The prices are in line with the city of Matera. The person at the counter was also very kind and friendly. I don't understand the other reviews, which are so exaggeratedly negative and unreliable. I highly recommend going up to the cathedral and stopping at this bar.

Typical coffee shop geared toward tourists. High prices, poor service. The espresso is okay, but expensive.

I wanted to have Ristretto, which I have not been able to find in menu in most of cafes in my trip. I asked the staff and he explained us different coffees and nuances among them. Lovely chat and experience. Definitely recommend this cafe around the Duomo Piazza area
