Duomo Cafe Matera In Matera

Typical coffee shop geared toward tourists. High prices, poor service. The espresso is okay, but expensive.

I wanted to have Ristretto, which I have not been able to find in menu in most of cafes in my trip. I asked the staff and he explained us different coffees and nuances among them. Lovely chat and experience. Definitely recommend this cafe around the Duomo Piazza area

Stumbled into this café by chance after exploring Matera's sassi for a refreshing break. A delicious aperitif, well-balanced with traditional appetizers and homemade hummus. A must-visit midway through your visit.

€3 per coke, for a total of €6 is high enough but reflects the fact there is outdoor service. We didn’t appreciate the additional €1 added to the bill and not clearly mentioned on the menu. Excellent location.

Small café right next to the cathedral. The staff also spoke English. The cappuccino was good.

Stumbled upon it by accident while wandering through the streets of Matera, and we really enjoyed this terrace located in a small square with a guitarist nearby. Very pleasant staff, good food, and the discovery of the limoncello spritz. If we were staying there for several days, we would have returned.

Located in the Duomo square, with friendly and attentive service. There are outdoor tables overlooking the church and the Sassi panorama. We sat down for a short break for coffee and a croissant, we really enjoyed it.
