We have been staying in the Lakes for the last week and the food at this restaurant was easily the best meal we have experienced. The vibe is casual but the food and service are similar to all the fine dining experiences we have had. Everything was full of flavour and well thought out. The tomato, aubergine and smoked cheese dish was superb, a firm favourite with everyone in our family. When the gorgeous little pre meal taster came out I explained my vegetarian daughter would be unable to have it (due to the ham) one minute later she was served an alternative (which she said was delicious). The chef and staff really know how to treat their customers. If we were back home in Edinburgh this meal would have cost three times what we paid here - it is excellent value for exquisite food.
