Let me start by saying that I never leave negative reviews, and in this case I decided to give the restaurant 3 stars anyway, so as not to lose any of its Google search results. It's a quaint and well-kept restaurant, no doubt about that. But what can I say...an hour and a half wait for so little and so bad food. Literally a mixed platter and 4 pappardelle (tough and packed together). Being at the tables outside the restaurant, we got really cold, and considering my parents' ages, it didn't seem appropriate. The bill was steep, for the slow and poor service and the overall disappointing food. I just hope I was unlucky and that it was a one-off and not a recurring situation. It's never happened to me in Tuscany, but for the first time, I left a restaurant feeling almost hungrier than before.

What a beautiful place, and the food is divine!!!! The wild boar pappardelle is top-notch.

What a pleasant surprise! A warm welcome and a very pleasant atmosphere; we ate typical Tuscan dishes. Everything was excellent and reasonably priced. The waitress was polite and attentive. The location was small and intimate, so reservations are recommended. Highly recommended!

...as usual we 'discover' beautiful, genuine, and sincere things by mistake... during a visit to Castagneto we stumbled upon a special place: congratulations to everyone for what you do and how you do it! Excellent food, if you hadn't already guessed!
