01/03/2025: When we don't travel to South Tyrol, Pur Südtirol comes to us. In South Tyrol, the delicatessen and wine shops in the cities of Bolzano, Meran and other cities have been known for their first-class regional products for years. The products from more than 250 farmers and small manufacturers in the area are offered there. The entire culinary diversity of South Tyrol can be found here: fruit, wine, bread, cheese, dairy products as well as the classic dumplings, pasta and bacon specialties from the region. The organic quality is unique and tastes significantly better than industrially produced food. While looking for gray cheese, we accidentally discovered the Pur Südtirol gourmet market and bistro in Lana. The entire range is presented in a large hall and the bistro with a small terrace is ideal for tasting the products. The bistro is often used by locals for lunch at lunchtime - quality at reasonable prices. The entire range can also be ordered online. In the online shop we found numerous products that are typical of the culinary diversity of the region. Our order arrived well chilled in insulated packaging. So we can enjoy some South Tyrolean delicacies at home over the next few days - a culinary holiday extension for our palates. A highlight for me is the Vipiteno organic yogurt made from hay milk. It is very difficult to find commercially in Germany and is offered for breakfast in some luxury hotels. For me, the pure, incomparable taste of the best mountain milk is unsurpassed. It's worth visiting a Pur store for every foodie. It's brilliant that you can have your favorites delivered to your home later - this increases the anticipation of your next holiday in South Tyrol.
