Don Teo In Piacenza

A simple, spartan, unpretentious place. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the waiters always make sure to ask for each dish whether the customer prefers it mild, medium, or strong (it can be really spicy). It was our first time at a Peruvian restaurant, and it won't be our last. The dishes are all tasty, the portions are generous, and the ingredients are high-quality. The value for money is average. You get what you pay for and you'll be full. The menu is extensive, with a wide variety of dishes, but the staff will help you choose if you're new to Peruvian cuisine. I loved the Ceviche Don Teo: both the raw and fried fish were very tasty without being overly seasoned or heavy. This was my first time trying the plantains, and I'll definitely be back. Don't expect a wide variety of wines, beers, or soft drinks: ask the waiters for recommendations, and they'll prepare a typical Peruvian drink based on the dishes you order.

The place isn't very large, but it has a lovely atmosphere; the food is excellent and plentiful; the service is fast and friendly... I absolutely recommend this place.

Excellent ceviche, chicken causa, lomo saltado... I would always come back!
