Dolce Incontro In Tortorici

Lidia is an award winning pastry maker of the highest caliber. On a visit to my grandfather’s home town I was introduced, by my new Rotary friend Massimo, to Lidia’s shop. She was very generous to allow us to sample the many individual cookies and Royal Pasta- Pasta Reale which originates from this very area. You must try the individual sweets, even though you’ll be tempted by the grand cakes. Lidia was welcoming and her many sweets truly an amazing historical adventure. A must stop if you’re in this area of Sicily.

It wasn't planned as a stop on our trip, but the stop was satisfactory....it immediately entered our favorite itineraries....the reason??...the kindness and friendliness of the staff together with the goodness of the local pastries, made with hazelnuts, remember to take the arancina/no (it depends) with hazelnut sauce. All very good
