We had lunch at this cozy restaurant and were truly delighted. The service was efficient and the staff were courteous and friendly. The food was very good; the ragù reminded us of when our Tuscan grandmother used to make it. It's worth returning. The price is absolutely fair.

If you're planning a visit to Populonia, you can't miss this restaurant. First and foremost, we were pleasantly surprised by the welcome and kindness—despite the gloomy day, we had no problem coming in, even with our dog—and by their expertise (and so much patience 😅) in answering our countless questions about their cuisine, especially if we had food allergies. After visiting the village and the acropolis, we decided to have lunch there and discovered that, even though we hadn't booked, to be on the safe side, they had taken the time to source ingredients specifically for us to avoid any kind of cross-contamination. Superlative dishes, authentic ingredients cooked with care... what more could you ask for? A beautiful and unexpected way to end the year... and why not, to start the new one too. A pleasantly surprising experience. We stopped for lunch by chance and enjoyed authentic cuisine, simple yet attentive to quality and respect for tradition. The Piombino-style octopus was superb. The tagliata was also excellent, as was the Pappardelle with ragù. The staff were extremely kind and accommodating. The chef and the main course were charming and passionate about their craft. We'll be back. An experience to repeat in this wonderful Etruscan village.

We went for lunch on a Saturday in December, and what a discovery! Il Colore del Grano is a place that immediately captures your heart. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you feel at ease from the first moment. The food? Exquisite; you can taste the quality and passion. They have a great talent for presenting their dishes; they're beautiful to look at and, most importantly, delicious to eat! What makes this restaurant complete beyond the food, however, are the owners. We love it when you stop for a chat; they shared a little about themselves, with a genuine desire to engage in conversation. They make you feel like a welcome guest. 5 stars, more than deserved! A very quaint and welcoming restaurant in a truly special village. The kitchen offers a limited selection of dishes, all seasonal and high-quality! Excellent and polite service, and the chef, Mrs. Flavia, prepared truly excellent dishes... haute cuisine and great culinary skills! 100% recommended!!! Reasonable price, and then a lovely walk with a breathtaking view!
