A fabulous place in the heart of Chiavari. The staff was very kind and smiling, but above all professional. The dishes, both seafood and meat, were delicious. And let's not even talk about the dessert.

I stop by Gran Caffè Defilla every time I come to Chiavari. I sit on the terrace, order the usual generous aperitivo, and enjoy the city. A small ritual followed by a fish dish of the day, the inevitable bottle of Pigato, and coffee accompanied by some dry pastries. From the first croissant of the morning to the last cocktail of the night, the kitchen and bartenders prepare every kind of delight. The wine list is worthy of a connoisseur, thanks in part to the adjoining wine cellar. The service is impeccable, unlike any other. The interior rooms tell a centuries-old but not dusty story, a legacy of a bygone era that here blends magically with the contemporary.

It's a historic bar in the center of Chiavari. The prices are a bit high compared to other bars, but the products are top-notch!
It's a special and pleasant place thanks to its period decor.
They also sell typical local products such as wines, liqueurs, sweets, etc.
