This Grand Café is always on our schedule. We've been coming by 2 or 3 times on vacation for 14 years and haven't been disappointed yet. Everything is very nice here.

There is a treasure in Chiavari, the Caffe' Defilla, however there is a but... it is possible to invest something to change the old and decades-old rattan chairs by taking advantage of the large outdoor terrace perhaps by placing some sofas, more comfortable seats and tables larger?

I recommend. An old-style Italian cafe, there are very few of them left. Super delicious and aromatic coffee. Very polite service. It's worth taking a look.

Pranzo di famiglia per un evento. Location raffinata, servizio attento, ottimo il cibo con abbinamento al vino. Una cucina tradizionale che utilizza un' ottima qualità della materia prima ed evoca sapori della memoria.

Das Gran Caffe Defilla ist ein Feinschmeckertempel mit verschiedenen Abteilungen. Wir waren - mehrfach, da es uns so gut gefallen hat - in der Weinabteilung, sodass sich diese Bewertung nur auf diesen Teil bezieht. Die Enoteca begeistert und man wünscht sich, dass man diese mit nach Hause nehmen könnte. Ausgezeichnete Auswahl an in- und ausländischen Weine (auch ältere Jahrgänge), die vor Ort gegen einen geringen Aufpreis getrunken werden können. Schönes Ambiente im Lokal und aufmerksamer Service, auch die Preise sind gut.

19/07/2024: I recently returned to the Mente Locale in Piazza Leonardo Da Vinci and I particularly appreciated the new "cut" of the brioches: slightly smaller, but "chubbier", and with a bit of pastry (which recalls the French croissant). .... in short, they were already good, but now they are even better. 18/07/2024: Little bar with little pretensions in San Nazzaro, excellent view, good position open onto the promenade. Too bad for the attitude of the staff who thought they would let me eat in the sun at 27 degrees so as not to move the chairs from their position (which I would have done).

Caffe dei Fieschi

08/07/2024: We had an aperitif even though it was breakfast time. The staff were super friendly and the appetizers and drinks were definitely above average!
08/07/2024: Delicious aperitif, with snacks that wink at the best local tradition, perfectly balanced in taste and composition and a truly out of the ordinary fruit non-alcoholic drink. Not to mention the kindness, always appreciated, and the bill truly more than honest. Experience to repeat!
