We had a wonderful evening at Decantei. Aside from the delicious food, the excellent service deserves special mention. The staff was very attentive and professional. We would love to come back.

Mid-range to high-end restaurant. Refined cuisine, where you can savor traditional South Tyrolean dishes with a touch of refinement. The portions aren't generous, but they're certainly of excellent quality. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is very attentive to their guests' needs. Prices are above average.

My number 1 in Brixen. A must for every visit. As soon as you can sit outside, definitely take a seat in one of the two courtyards. If the weather isn't right, the dining room is also very nice. The food is excellent; I've never had a bad meal here. It's simple yet sophisticated. You can taste the ingredients; nothing is over-seasoned. I recently had the potato and sauerkraut soup. It was both purple and incredibly delicious. After that, I had ravioli filled with sausage and chestnuts. The spare ribs are also amazing; the glaze isn't sugary, but more like paprika. And the meat is super tender. And that's just a small selection. The wine list is great; there's a huge selection. The service is top-notch, every time. I may be biased because I like the place so much, but I truly believe this is a really good restaurant.

Went in to grab dinner, even though it was quiet they couldn't sit me in any of the empty seats because they we're 'reserved' (to note: had atleast 20 tables free). Tried putting me in the back room next to the kitchen which was void of of any atmosphere, so unfortunately I had to turn down eating dinner there as it was very off-putting. Ended up going to the front bar just to have a drink, which in itself took 10min to get even though there was 4-5 staff not doing anything but had to wait for the bottleneck of just one staff member making the drinks. Wouldn't recommend for a casual walk in while they're quiet let alone in the busier times

From the moment you enter, you're greeted by a truly chic blend of design and warm, intimate tavern-style comfort. Service on a quiet weekday evening and at a table for nine guests was attentive, never intrusive, always present enough, and—not a given—child-friendly. The food itself was excellent, with excellent locally sourced starters and just-right meat dishes. The menu is limited, but not too sparse, and everything is fresh—the starter dumplings can take 15 minutes to cook, too. The wine was also excellent, and the price-performance ratio was perfectly reasonable. Overall: A real alternative if you want to eat well and elegantly in Brixen, but not overly fancy. Thanks to the team for a successful evening.
