Fantastic experience in a true Roman trattoria, far from the tourist hotspots I hate. The owner is friendly and very kind. We tried several dishes and everything was exceptionally good. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Garbatella!

Final evening of a short stay in Rome. A simple place, a typical trattoria, in a charming little village. Easily accessible by scooter. It was presented to me as the best place for a gricia, with very high expectations, but the pasta was really dry (ammataffata, to quote Maestro Camilleri). It probably needed to be tossed with a little cooking water because it was really hard to eat—a shame. The rustic appetizers were spectacular, my favorite being the artichoke frittata, excellent. The cured meats were exceptional. Overall, highly recommended.

I only knew this place because someone pointed it out to me on the street many years ago. I decided to book a table. My friends, it was definitely worth it. Excellent food, excellent service, very friendly and helpful staff. My wife and I will definitely be back. RECOMMENDED if you want to eat Roman dishes.

The traditional Roman first courses are excellent, having tried them on two occasions, both times very satisfying. I tried the cacio e pepe and the tonnarelli aglio olio e peperoncino, and they were truly delicious, al dente and spicy. I had some concerns about the second courses (the boiled meatballs were good but very dry). The restaurant has a very pleasant, well-ventilated outdoor area, with tables arranged so as to maintain appropriate social distancing. The staff is friendly and helpful.
