An authentic trattoria, far from the tourist circuits, with abundant and excellent quality dishes. We tasted both the carbonara and the amatriciana: both creamy, tasty and generously enriched with bacon. The service can be a little slow, but it contributes to the genuine charm of the place.

23/06/2025: Le Grotte was a recommendation from a friend and it was a great one at that. The food so good and my wife and I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. The chocolate heart cake is a must have.

11/06/2025: Good food and good value. The staff serves quickly. We went without a reservation and were given a table.
05/06/2025: Had lunch and dinner here. Carbonara and Cacio e Pepe was the best I’ve had. Older gentlemen serving was also a great to deal with. Definitely on my to go list next time I am in Rome.
