What do we do to celebrate 50 years.... we start from Catania towards Veneto! Region rich in excellent wine and a unique starred restaurant.
Damini e Affini, offers a truly refined meat menu, where the flavors were intense and harmonious, with a perfect balance of sweet, salty and spicy.
Every ingredient was fresh and high quality, and you could feel the passion and care that had gone into the preparation of each dish.
But compliments should also be given to the people, I will not forget Luca and Ludovica, they accompanied us during this experience with great professionalism despite their young age, so congratulations to chef Giorgio and all the staff, because great things can only be done if there is a good team.

5 stars well deserved. The experience of the meat menu is crazy, what is indicated on the menu would already be sufficient but many other off-menu tastings have arrived. Bonus for the very nice waiter who immediately made us feel at ease by explaining the dishes to us in a simple way.

Recommended by many people I know I had never had the opportunity to try it in person.
I finally did it today.
Shop well stocked with countless delights.
Butcher's shop (very interesting cuts of meat), cured meats and cheese department (spoiled for choice).
Honey, pasta, sweets etc. impossible to choose!
And then there is the restaurant, where you can try some of the delicacies offered at the counter cooked in a divine way.
You must try the meat tartare and the cured meat on the bone.
You won't regret it!
Definitely Recommended and Recommended.

The location is very particular, the entrance is the same as the shop and then you are accompanied into a small, very warm and welcoming room. We had a 6 course chef's surprise tasting menu. It was a truly incredible culinary experience: refined flavours, particular and unexpected combinations but at the same time not excessively extreme. The quality of the raw materials is clearly high, the meat really excellent as is everything else. Each dish is taken care of down to the smallest detail, and the presentation also plays its part. The desserts were also really excellent.
The dining room staff is young, kind and made us feel at ease straight away, in fact the atmosphere is very relaxed.
I will definitely be back!

Dinner with the chef's surprise tasting menu: a culinary experience with dishes with a refined taste and particular flavours, but always balanced and pleasant. However, we found one aspect that could be improved in the wine pairing proposal. The menu did not indicate a specific tasting option to accompany the menu.
We then asked the staff for a proposal of paired wines and we were offered a tasting of six half glasses (equivalent to three whole glasses), without however providing us with any indication of the price. Accustomed to other experiences in starred restaurants, we assumed that the cost was in line with the average.
To our surprise, the cost of the wine tasting was 90 euros. Although the quality of the wines was appreciated, we believe it is important that the price is communicated transparently to the customer to avoid unpleasant surprises.

The fall of a myth... I had been stocking up for years, especially at the butcher's counter for the fine cuts of meat that could be purchased, but in the last three times I went I no longer found such prestige. Basically they have aligned themselves with many other butchers and therefore I can no longer justify the prices they have maintained prestigious. Too bad, it's the same at a better price
