Daiki Japanese Restaurant In Lecce

I went for lunch; there were two of us, and we had a wonderful meal. I'd never been there before, but as soon as I walked in the door, I felt at home. The staff was extremely kind and professional, and we were greeted with a smile. It was a really nice place, and most importantly, we had a great meal. I recommend it.

We didn't want to leave. We almost got kicked out. 🤣🤣🤣 The food was delicious, both the sushi and the pizza. The waitress (I don't know her name, sorry) was very friendly and professional. The atmosphere was well-kept. Absolutely fantastic.

Cleanliness is impeccable, a detail never taken for granted in sushi restaurants. Daiki's strength is the balance between tradition and experimentation. In addition to timeless classics, the menu offers Special Rolls: original combinations with fresh ingredients, often enhanced with homemade sauces that don't overpower the flavor of the fish. Sashimi and Raw Fish: The fish is cut precisely, and its freshness is evident from the first bite, with a buttery texture and vibrant colors. Hot dishes: The hot food (tempura, gyoza, yakisoba) is also excellent, with light and crispy fried foods. Clara's skill and expertise, along with Assam's kindness, helpfulness, politeness, and companionship, accompanied us throughout our Sunday lunch together, making us savor the deliciousness and exquisiteness of the dishes even more. The sushi is truly special, especially considering that you don't go there just to "fill your stomach" but to enjoy a delicious dish, in an aesthetic and gustatory experience. If you love intense flavors, try their truffle rolls or the exotic fruit variations: they're among the most popular items on the menu. And don't miss the BEST tempura I've ever eaten, light as a cloud but crispy like a Daiki! Absolutely approved, we'll be back to try the pizza with dough leavened for 48 hours, if we're up to it... There's just one downside: not due to any fault, but due to space constraints; there's no room for different diets like gluten-free. Unfortunately (and fortunately), they won't fool you into thinking you can cook safely due to space constraints. Never mind, let's not lose hope for a change. See you soon, guys!

Great place, very friendly, limited vegan options and a little more expensive than the others in Lecce

I disagree with the recent reviews I've read, but honestly, I absolutely can't appreciate the quality of the sushi dishes others are talking about. The taco tasted like nothing, flavorless shrimp stuffed into a tortilla. The nigiri were completely ruined, with the vinegar-soaked rice covering the flavor of the fish. Furthermore, the top nigiri platter seemed to be made from pieces made at different times; in some, the rice tasted old from the refrigerator (hard and dry), in others, lukewarm and sour. The tuna in the uramaki was tough and stringy. I only partially appreciate the uramaki with crab and the Vietnamese rolls. After reading the previous reviews, I really wonder if it was just a bad night or if people just don't know what they're eating. What a shame.

The sushi was freshly prepared and very good. The udon noodles for main with salmon, tuna and shrimps was also verde m very good. The Ramen bowl with seafood was disappointing as it contained dried instant noodles 🙁 and there was too much liquid and not enough seafood. The miso soup had mushrooms which was nice but it lacked the miso taste. Overall it was ok, but the orange and black interior is a little dark. Didn’t try their pizzas, which is not really Japanese.

Ordered takeout poke for dinner. My colleagues and I were completely satisfied. Delivery was even early, and the food was excellent! And a special thanks to Angela, who was there for me every step of the way and accommodated my every request. Definitely worth doing again!
