Farinata eccezionale! Ma anche gli altri piatti sono stati di nostro gradimento, dolci compresi. Locale informale ma curato, servizio svelto. Prezzi contenuti, scontrino dettagliato, conto corretto. Indispensabile la prenotazione.

We went for lunch on a Sunday and had a good time, excellent food, sublime farinata (I was born in Genoa and I've eaten enough farinata), good service, family atmosphere. I highly recommend it

Gita nella bella Albenga con amici e non poteva mancare una ...puntatina dal "Puppo". Farinata come al solito insuperabile, leggera e fragrante, e poi verdure ripiene, piccoli friscioli di baccalà molto intriganti; a seguire zuppa di pesce spinata fritto misto mare o, a scelta, pesce alla griglia, torte di verdure e molto altro. Da tornarci sempre.

Today we had lunch with my family, living in Albenga I have always noticed that this place is always full for both lunch and dinner. This morning it occurred to me to book for four for lunch, it's a very welcoming, clean and well-organised place. The staff was very kind and smiling, the lady was very attentive, noting that I use a walker, and with great tact and sensitivity she brought it to me at the table, taking away the embarrassment of asking between the tables for permission to pass. The frying, the cod was excellent good quality, the still wine really good and fresh. All the staff were very kind, the dishes well plated and fresh, the price is right. We will gladly return because we had a great time. Greetings Brother Marco and family.

Typical "old" Ligurian place, very essential as a now historic place in Albenga must be. The farinata is definitely the best I've ever eaten, soft and with a fantastic crust. The fish is very fresh and cooked well. You can find traditional Ligurian dishes, fried (the one with Imperia prawns very good and very light) or stewed like rabbit.... many grilled options cooked on the spot. The owner is friendly and the prices are decidedly low considering the quality of the raw materials. The only flaw: finding a place...I recommend booking a week in advance.

Very good food, the best farinata I've ever eaten! Service, in the confusion of the super full place, they always try to be kind. Local, it gives the impression of being in the 70s but perhaps this is precisely what makes it unique and special.

You come to this place essentially for the farinata, which is actually the best I've tasted among the many I've tried in Liguria, Piedmont and Tuscany. The rest of the dishes are good but without particular highlights while the very narrow space and the staff who are a little too "hurried" and not very kind definitely make you feel uncomfortable.

19/01/2025: 4 of us went for lunch. Service... the beginning was a bit tense... because to get at least water at the table we almost had to grab a waiter by the elbow... It's okay... it happens. The starters were good - there's nothing to say... 2 dips, the roasted octopus on potato cream (good, but the portion is microscopic) and the sliced ​​hamon (very good. There's nothing to say). Like seconds. The catch of the day - small, but good. Two cuts - nothing special with the non-chewable pieces.. The grilled prawns... they brought us half cooked... they were seared on one side and on the other - no... in the end they were not raw and not grilled... as a side dish - a raw carrot and two baked chips... to our question how they must be raw or grilled, the head nurse assured them that they must be grilled and suggested making two more grilled prawns... now we didn't feel like waiting... Then at the end of lunch we discovered that there were things off the menu that no one offered us... In the end the bill of €310 (with half a bottle of rose that tasted like nothing and 3 glasses of red) seems like a rip-off to me... do you pay for the view?
