Very nice restaurant in the Genoese hinterland, with attention to detail and welcoming and kind staff. The choice of dishes is not wide, but it is certainly due to the fact that everything is homemade and with top quality products. The cellar is excellent with high-level proposals. The desserts deserve the highest step of the podium not only for the panna cotta. To return.

Excellent restaurant in the Ligurian hinterland. Very attentive and kind staff. Pleasant and welcoming location. Excellent food quality. Well-stocked cellar. Prices in line with the quality. A place not to be missed when you are in Masone.

Trattoria in pieno centro a Masone in un locale caratteristico, sevizio veloce e professionale, piatti di buona qualità presentati in maniera eccellente, prezzi nella media considerando ciò che si è mangiato. Lo consiglio vivamente, è consigliata la prenotazione in quanto il locale non ha moltissimi coperti.

Excellent food, the owners are really very kind and welcoming. The service was attentive and attentive to the customer, they recommended us a truly excellent wine and they were also super nice with our 8 and a half month old daughter. I highly recommend it.

A guarantee of quality! I have been to Da Pippi with friends many times and every time it is a confirmation. The cuisine is excellent, with traditional Piedmontese dishes prepared with high quality local ingredients. The real must is the homemade panna cotta with milk from the valley, just like in the past... absolutely worth trying! Furthermore, Gianni always knows how to recommend the perfect wine to accompany dinner. A place where you eat well, you can breathe a familiar atmosphere and you are always happy to stay. Highly recommended!

Cercavamo di rientrare dal Piemonte in Liguria, dove siamo esuli da alcuni anni, in fuga dalle nebbbie della pianura padana. Purtroppo restiamo prigionieri dell'autostrada, che insolitamente presenta problemi di circolazione, a causa di un incidente ed "alcuni" lavori in corso. Si fa tardi, tardissimo, così telefoniamo al nostro Vate gastronomico, Santo Aldo da Valenza e restiamo folgorati, non sulla via di Damasco ma nei pressi del Turchino. Appare una scritta bianca su un fondo verde... "Masone". Siamo increduli, Aldo ci propone il ristorante Pippi, appunto a Masone. Usciamo in quella che pensavamo essere l'anticamera degli inferi, il luogo della pioggia perenne, anche quando poco lontano splende il sole. E invece degli inferi ci appare questo fantastico paradiso culinario, dove il viandante prostrato dalla A26 può rifocillarsi e ritrovare la pace con sé stesso e con Autostrade Italia. Ceniamo divinamente bene, beviamo, con moderazione, tre bottiglie di barbera di Spigno e suggelliamo il tutto con i dolci della casa, sublimi ed indimenticabili. Il conto è in linea con la qualità dei cibi e dei prodotti della cantina. Viste le condizione dell'autostrada penso che ci torneremo presto, ma anche dopo, quando torneremo ad avere una viabilità normale. Per la convivialità siamo già a posto, Pippi forever!!

01/07/2025: It's good but very expensive. In practice, with the price of a glass + aperitif you can easily have dinner in any pizzeria. One of the waitresses (blonde) is rude, the other very kind. They don't clean the alley from pigeon droppings (it's really full of them) and the seats have no backrests. Let's say that from a rustic environment in a dirty alley I don't expect to spend as much as for a chic aperitif...
30/06/2025: Best restaurant in Genoa, super friendly staff, incredible charcuterie and cheese platter, and the best tiramisu we've ever eaten 😍 Truly local

Mentelocale Bar Bistrot - Principe

12/06/2025: I went for the first time today to have an excellent coffee standing at the counter in this small and welcoming café located inside the Genova Principe train station with tables inside and also outside with a view of the station. I have been frequenting several other places in Mentelocale for years every day such as in Via Garibaldi and in Via Balbi and I have always had a great time. In this café you can have breakfast and also lunch with a wide selection of sweet and savory dishes. The staff as always in all the other places in Mentelocale are welcoming, smiling, competent, friendly and helpful and they only serve you at the table at lunch while for coffee, toasts and other drinks you order, pay and then collect your order and good prices!!
