Very nice restaurant near the BRANCACCIO Theater of our dear and beloved Gigi Proietti❤️ A stone's throw from the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore 😍❤️ Excellent food...excellent cacio e pepe with homemade pasta 😍 Generous portions, friendly and polite staff To my request on August 5th in the evening to speed up... the arrival of the dishes.... I was immediately listened to ❤️ THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN ❤️ (I was there to see the snowfall in front of the sanctuary 😍) I will definitely come back to taste other Roman specialities🥰 It was my first time going A rich menu of meat, fish and pizza RIGHT PRICES FOR EXCELLENT DISHES.... MODERATE!

I got the Funghi Pizza here, and I thought it was quite good This was definitely a Roman-style pizza, as the crust was quite thin, harder, and crunchy The cheese on the pizza had the perfect ratio to the amount of tomato sauce, and it was melted quite well. The cheese even extended all the way to the crust, which made it so that every bite up to that point was quite enjoyable. I also quite liked the mushrooms. The placing of these was a bit odd - they were missing from the top right but present everywhere else - but what I absolutely loved was that there were so many of them, to the point that they occupied real estate in every single bite. These tasted super fresh, were cooked really well, and added a ton to my overall enjoyment of the pizza Overall, this pizza was really good, and at a reasonable cost. 9/10 I do want to mention one thing, though. When ordering, I asked if the carbonara could be made without bacon, since we're vegetarians. The waiter looked at me like I just shot his dog. After some clear indignation on his face, he responded with "No....It's not possible" and looked disgusted that someone would even ask such a question. He didn't have a great attitude for the rest of the time we were there I get it that Italy has a culture of keeping dishes the way they were supposed to be made. However, it would a lot better if you would politely decline rather than acting shocked that a vegetarian would like to try a dish but without the meat. It's not like I asked to remove the egg from a carbonara - Bacon is simply just a topping to the dish and can easily be removed without much extra work from the chef. I've ordered carbonara without bacon at two other restaurants in Rome, and both of them happily obliged my request - and it was fantastic both times. There's nothing special about your restaurant in appearing more 'traditional' when fulfilling such a request can be done without much effort.

Best traditional Italian food. Would strongly recommend. Good service, good food and good wine. What more can you ask for.

The Carbonara pasta was better, maybe a little too aldente for me but it was okay, the pizza was good too. My complaints are with the waiter who does his one-man show, I'm sure that some people might like it but I prefer to be left alone when I eat. At the end, the waiter told us that the service was not included and to choose what we wanted to put. I had read on Reddit that the service was generally included. At the time I didn't know so we gave €5 but with a feeling of maybe having been cheated.

Slow service, very hot inside and normal food.

Typical Italian restaurant, pizza was delicious, tiramisu was fantastic🤩👌🏼 Staff was really nice, we had an amazing evening! Definitely worth the visit!

What a fantastic and cheerful classic Roman trattoria. Pasta was super well done and the salads were scrumptious! It is a bit away from the main touristic trails so gets more of a local clientele. Waiter was great, with excellent suggestions re menu choices. And the best aspect was price - very affordable.

Locale semplice e gradevole, quasi di fronte il teatro Brancaccio. Scelto per mangiare una pizza dopo il teatro proprio per l’estrema vicinanza ( la mia recensione è relativa alla pizzeria, e non al ristorante del locale, che serve anche una lista di primi e secondi piatti che non abbiamo provato). Piizza e fritti sono quelli tradizionali romani, non male i fritti, meglio della pizza che, anche se gustosa, ci è rimasta un po’ sullo stomaco, forse per l’impasto sottile e croccante ma un po’ troppo “farinoso” e biscottato, o forse per la mozzarella “formaggiosa” cioè di quella che si usa per cucinare. Abbiamo notato che quasi tutti i clienti erano stranieri. Non ci ha entusiasmato nulla in particolare, ma comunque tre stelle più che meritate.
