Da Giovanni In Lauria

A stopover on a return trip after a vacation on the Ionian coast. Found on Tripadvisor, it turned out to be a pleasant discovery. There were nine of us, and there was no wait even though we'd called half an hour in advance to let them know we were arriving. We ate well, and the service was excellent. The only flaw was that we weren't given a menu (or perhaps we should have asked). The waitress listed everything verbally, so we only found out how much we'd pay when we got the bill. A bit pricey in our opinion, at least for what we ordered, but overall a pleasant experience. I gave it 3 stars for the ambience only because I personally don't particularly like rustic settings and table settings with classic, almost ceremonial tablecloths, but everything was very well-kept and clean.

Like at home? No, better. The best pappardelle with porcini mushrooms I've ever eaten. Ricotta and spinach ravioli with an excellent sauce. Two nice portions of wall and scamorza cheese to die for. Highly recommended! Greetings to the courteous and friendly staff!

Heading to Calabria we stopped for a quick lunch. We ate divinely, everything prepared at the moment.

I recently enjoyed a lovely lunch at this restaurant in Lauria, Italy. The service was excellent. From the courtesy of the welcome at the door to the delicious lunch lovingly prepared in the kitchen under the watchful eye of the owner's wife. It's an elegant, family-friendly restaurant with typical Italian dishes and good wine. I can't help but praise the dessert. And the daughter's beautiful smile, which is part of the courteous service.

My husband, my daughter and I went for lunch yesterday, we were passing through and looked for a place that could be on the way back home and so Giovanni inspired us, what can I say, great inspiration. Everything good, excellent homemade pasta, I recommend the potatoes with scamorza, the goodness is indescribable, not to mention the courtesy of the waitress, a wonderful smile and always available. If I were to return to Lauria, it will be my stop from breakfast to dinner. Lauria is wonderful but its inhabitants are no less. Thanks for everything

Restaurant with a slightly dated environment, the food is decent although I think it lacks a bit of coherence with the "Quality/Price ratio". Definitely improvable.

I highly recommend this place both for those in transit and for those who want to spend a dinner or lunch with friends or relatives. Exceptional value for money, zero km local products cooked in a simple but good way. Very friendly and professional owners and staff.

We were there on Sunday for lunch, 18 people. large parking area outside (15 motorbikes). Comfortable and bright room, friendly staff and good food, small misunderstanding resolved politely. If you are passing through we recommend it.
