Da Gildo In Roma

I’ve not been very impressed with pizza in Italy UNTIL we had pizza and steak and salad at da Gildo!! Honestly, very good, authentic and high quality. Thoroughly enjoyed the Peroni on draft as well while being immersed in the sights and sounds of trastavere!!!

We stopped for a little snack at the end of the day rather than a big meal. Fried artichoke was delicious and a little pizza to share matched it very well. I can't remember house white being amazing, but perhaps we were previously spoiled outside Rome. Beautiful deco and a nice experience overall.

One of the still non-touristy restaurants in Trastevere. It's always a pleasure to go there for dinner when friends come to Rome

A true treasure in Trastevere! This multi-generational family trattoria is everything you could wish for in an Italian restaurant. Its wood-fired oven produces incredibly delicious pizzas, with more than reasonable prices and excellent quality. The pasta dishes are plentiful. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and polite, and for those who don't speak Italian, they surprisingly speak Spanish, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. I'm incredibly surprised this establishment has so few reviews, because it's undoubtedly the best restaurant I've visited in Rome. I found it by chance, as I had initially intended to dine at Tonnarello or Nanarella, but both required at least a half-hour wait for a table. And how lucky I was! I found tables available here with no wait, and I had a good experience. They are closed on Thursdays for a holiday.

Excellent food and service. Definitely one of the best meals we had during our stay. The Pizza and the pistachio panacotta were both delicious.

Uncrowded restaurant, excellent cuisine. I recommend fettuccine, artichokes, bacon and pecorino.

Family atmosphere, excellent meal. It was our first restaurant in Rome, and I admit that it set the bar too high for the rest 😂. The waitress is adorable and the waiter is very attentive. I highly recommend. The coffee was also super good.

Ottima cena: carciofi fritti e alla giudia perfetti, cacio e pepe e carbonara buonissime, dolce di pere con gelato per finire in bellezza, il tutto apprezzato ancora di più grazie alla squisita accoglienza ricevuta.

He revisado este restaurante antes, pero tengo que escribir otra opinión, ya que ahora es una parte esencial de cualquier visita que hacemos a Roma. Me encanta la comida. Mi favorito sigue siendo el gnocchi alla Romana. Siempre hemos tenido muy buen servicio y comida maravillosa.
