Excellent, historic Roman trattoria. The super-smart and friendly waitress with her super-short haircut is family-run, two generations old, starting with grandmother. The wood-fired pizza is also excellent, and the price/quality ratio is excellent.

I had a wonderful meal; the Roman-style and Jewish-style artichokes were excellent. The first courses were plentiful and made with quality ingredients. Family-run, all three brothers are incredibly friendly and attentive to their customers, always ready to accommodate every need. It's a good thing places like this still exist, and not the usual tourist traps. Highly recommended.

Excellent Roman cuisine. Special mention for the gnocchi alla romana with burro and sage.
Pizza was okay.
The servers and owners were very friendly. Prices were reasonable.

Delicious food and a delightful evening. They also have gluten-free pasta and a delicious pear pie (also gluten-free), so I'm a celiac and absolutely delighted. My friends had the pizza (with gluten) and were thrilled.

Come in and be prepared for the wonderful Italian Hospitality: after early arrival to Rome and stroll through Trastevere this was our very first stop - so happy we found it. You will be warmly welcomed, recommended a great wine (Il Repertorio if you look for a round heavy red and if you can manage to find your hotel after this bottle), starter of local chicory and wonderful pasta (!!!!). You will leave full with a good feeling of Roman friendliness and warmth. Highly recommended.

A restaurant in the heart of Trastevere with excellent traditional Roman cuisine (from puntarelle, to sautéed chicory, to the excellent use of artichokes, from classic first courses to the inevitable second courses such as lamb, tripe, oxtail, etc.).
The restaurant was opened by grandfather Gildo in 1958 and is now masterfully managed by his two grandchildren (we had the pleasure of being served by the owner, who turned out to be a true professional and incredibly passionate about her job/restaurant).
= HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
