We were there for lunch just a few minutes before the service starts. As a result of this there was no queue and we just seated as soon as we arrived. The pasta portions are enough for one person and they were delicious. Their own beer is also a great companion with pasta. As a couple traveling with our dog, it was also great that they are pet friendly 🙏🐶

Delicious local cuisine, the best pasta in Rome. I recommend getting there before 12pm, later there will be queues but it's worth it 😁

We discovered Trattoria Da Enzo al 29 in March 2024 and loved it so much that during our week stay in Rome in March 2025 we went there 4 times.
This place is magical, with delicious food, and an authentic atmosphere, of a small, crowded local restaurant.
The food is delicious, we tried most of the pastas and starters, and we were never disappointed.
The carbonara is the absolute queen of the menu, and so is the cacio e pepe. I love the fried artichoke (carciofi alla giudia) , and my husband and brother preferred the cooked one (artichoke alla romana). We also had the fried courgette flowers with mozzarella and the riccotta with local jam and honey, which were also delicious. We also tried the amantriciana and gricia, the daily special (raviolo) and the lamb chops - all dishes were at least very good.
Desserts - the mousse with wild strawberries is heavenly, the tort with riccotta and jam was amazing. The tiramisu is very good, but it is not the classical tiramisu - a bit lighter and sweeter.
There is a good selection of wines, as well as some cocktails. We loved the beer, which is their own produce.
A lot of ingredients are sourced from their own farms and you can taste it.
The staff is polite, and attentive, speak italian (and help me practice ordering in italian) english, and polish, and even some words in greek. They are busy but very friendly and helpful.
Overall, we love this place. The amazing food, the hustle and bustle, the magic of it all.
You can get some merch and I bought myself an apron to bring some magic home, and hopefully to channel some skill in pasta making.

We visited this restaurant because of many comments. First of all it is expensive. The taste of foods is ok but not for this money. If you are ready to pay this amount , you will definitely find another places.

This is our fourth time here and it will be our last. Through the years, many other restaurants in Rome have become just as good (and better) than this place and honestly, the food is no longer worth the rude service. Every time we go, they treat us like they’re doing us a massive favour by letting us overpay for mediocre food. This time around, my husband and I both got food poisoning. I honestly don’t know what the hype is anymore, and would highly suggest you look at other places before making the trek out here and waiting in line for at least an hour.

This place is a victim of its success. Too long wait to sit down (> 1 hour) and too long wait to be served (> 30 min). All in all, nearly 2 hours since we arrived at the place till we got our pasta dish (!). No pasta dish is worth that wait. On the good side: pasta is really al dente, amatriciana and gricia are tasty, house wine is good and reasonably priced. They need to hire more people and/or enlarge the place. Come here only with lots of patience!

Simpatici gentili con pochi tavoli non accettano prenotazioni ma hanno tavoli anche all'esterno. Tutto buonissimo i prezzi sono nella media della città cioè medio/alti e direi con la tovaglietta plastificata facciamo coperto gratis

Locale turistico molto affollato, preparati a fare la coda (non accetta prenotazione).
Cucina tipica romana, pochi piatti ma ben eseguiti. Rigatoni alla amatriciana ottimi, tonnarello cacio e pepe da migliorare (mancava un po’ di sale).
Servizio rapido e cordiale. Costo nella media.
