The owner is a bit like a father and owner, he treats customers not exactly with respect and kindness, a bit arrogant, service a bit slow, food is normal, nothing special and the environment needs to be reviewed a bit in terms of the order of the equipment and cleanliness of the bathrooms to be reviewed . On the other hand, at midday there is no fixed menu, all à la carte and embarrassing prices for what you eat. Workers go elsewhere thanks!!

A sublime experience: homemade dishes prepared with first-rate ingredients. Mr. Dino, in addition to the superlative dishes, made us smile with a couple of funny jokes. Thanks Dino for everything.

3.5 STARS FOOD: homemade tagliatelle with knife-cut ragù, goodies. Braised meat with polenta is good. Average wine. Water bottles only 0.5 l ... SERVICE: a little long but friendly staff. Dino is always very kind, he passes by the tables for a ciaccola and a greeting. AMBIENCE: informal setting for typical Venetian cuisine. QUALITY/PRICE RATIO average. Recommended for the characteristic pasta and beans and radicchio and beans. Historic venue in Treviso will remain open until December and then close permanently.

15/03/2025: An evening of emotions and flavours: discovering the great wines of Valpolicella On Friday 14 March I had the pleasure of participating in a truly extraordinary event, organized with care and passion by the Wine Club and held at Il Calice in Chiarano (TV). The protagonist of the evening was the producer Fabio Corsi of the Azienda Agricola Le Marognole, authentic guardian of the winemaking tradition of Valpolicella. With his genuine and respectful approach to the land, Corsi accompanied us on a sensorial journey through his wines, which speak of territory, dedication and authenticity. What made this experience even more intense and engaging was the contribution of the speakers, in particular the Gastronauta Dr. Fabio Guerra, supported with elegance and competence by Professor Vannino Negro. Their synergy was able to expertly intertwine culture, anecdotes, technical notions and a strong communicative ability. Guerra, with his brilliant and engaging style, led the evening with passion and irony, while Professor Negro embellished the story with his profound and refined knowledge, enriching every moment with reflections of great depth. Each course on the menu was perfectly paired with the wines offered: from the Valpolicella Classico to the Ripasso, up to the intense Amarone and the sweet Recioto, each combination was an explosion of harmony between the kitchen and the cellar. All accompanied by dishes with attention to detail, such as the risotto with Amarone and Morlacco or the cheek braised in CBT. In a world where wine is often trivialized, evenings like this remind us of how much culture, storytelling and encounters can be. Sincere congratulations to all the organizers for giving us an experience so rich in taste and content. I can't wait for the next one!
