A restaurant with a wide selection of "scacce" (typical Ragusa focaccia with various fillings) and other ready-made dishes (first courses, second courses, and side dishes). Plenty of outdoor seating.
Located in Santa Maria del Focallo, in the province of Ragusa, this historic roastery, open since 1964, is known for its proximity to the beach and its traditional Sicilian products, such as arancini, focaccia, puff pastry, and desserts. Unfortunately, the quality of the dishes I tried didn't live up to expectations: the focaccia was slightly burnt and the sauce was too sweet. The atmosphere is also rather spartan, and the staff isn't particularly friendly, perhaps due to the large crowds. Ultimately, I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars for the food quality and 2 stars for the atmosphere.
