Really good food at a decent price. The menu isn't typical restaurant offerings, venison fillet with chestnuts and porcini, or caccio pepe with mussels. Both were excellent, along with the antipasti di terra.

The special purple cabbage risotto cooked in a jar, and the venison sirloin with mushrooms, chestnuts, and Jerusalem artichokes—a perfect choice.
We'll definitely be back to try the exotic meat and other risottos!
The host, a combination of passion and kindness, is always a pleasure. It's a shame we're not friends and can't invite each other to dinner at our homes!
At Balestra, every dish is a celebration, and every recommended wine is a pleasure for the palate.
One thing that saddens us is that the host is an Inter Milan fan, but the customer, with affection, forgives him for this major flaw.

I went there for dinner with my boyfriend and my best friend. We each had a meat appetizer, my boyfriend and I split, and my friend had a tartare. I had a first course, lemon pasta, which was amazing! My boyfriend and my friend had a Florentine steak (one for two because I don't like it). Regardless, everything was truly delicious, and everything was perfect. The waiters and the owner were truly kind and polite. The bill was fair, no rip-offs, in fact, very fair. Can't you give it more stars?

Discovered by chance....chosen for the tranquility. Excellent food even for me who am vegetarian. Special service as special as Mr. Marco. But I wish there were more Mr. Marcos in the restaurants I frequent. Well done. I will be back.

If I lived in the area, I'd go at least once a week.
We had appetizers, first courses, and a second course, both meat and fish: everything was excellently cooked and generously portioned. We were served two very good wines, and the dessert (chocolate ricotta mousse) was also exquisite.
Add to all this the attentive and friendly service and the truly reasonable bill, and you'll understand why it was a great discovery.
