Curry Lounge In Bergamo

My favorite place in all of Bergamo. Beautiful place, with attention to detail, as well as very attentive service and the preparation and presentation of the dishes. The owners are very good and truly committed to what they do. Last but not least, the food is very good and tasty. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had lunch at this Pakistani restaurant and would like to return to try other dishes, inspired by the flavors of the Indian subcontinent but very Westernized. AMBIENCE: The restaurant is spacious, divided into three spaces: a larger one adjacent to the entrance and two smaller ones. Soft lighting, paintings on the walls, and floral decorations everywhere, even on the ceiling. Comfortable tables with upholstered chairs. The dishes on the tables are beautiful, though not all the same. The only downside is the very dim, red lighting, which made it difficult to read the menu. SERVICE: The staff are friendly, not particularly talkative. FOOD: We, as lovers of Indian cuisine, have an Indian friend whose mother cooks traditionally. I've eaten there several times, and we've eaten at every Indian restaurant in Bergamo and many in Milan. Therefore, I can say I really enjoyed my meal, but I think the flavors of authentic Pakistani cuisine, or indeed those of the Indian subcontinent, are less buttery and less creamy, and more assertive. I repeat, we ate very well, but you could sense a lot of attention to the dishes, both in terms of preparation and presentation. This shouldn't be seen as a criticism; on the contrary, it's a strong point, especially for those experiencing this cuisine for the first time. VALUE FOR MONEY: I found the meat portions a bit meager, as did other reviewers. The prices are proportionate to the quality of the food, less so to the portions. OVERALL OPINION: For me, it's a good way to approach the cuisine of the Indian subcontinent, but I don't believe this is the "original" one.

Really good, very polite staff. The quality of the food was all top-notch. The only thing I didn't really like was the "sottiletta" on the chicken; I was hoping for a more authentic cheese. However, it didn't detract from the deliciousness of the dish.

The atmosphere is very refined and the food is excellent. We were there in winter, and it was a bit chilly. The only negative surprise was the bill, which was quite expensive compared to the average, but the quality of the food was excellent.

Nice atmosphere, good food, and friendly staff. The only flaw, we later discovered, was that the document issued was a management document and not a tax document, despite payment by POS. It must have been an oversight.

Really beautiful place, with a unique style, I was here for dinner and we had a great time, the food is excellent and the staff very kind, I recommend it!

I had dinner at the Curry Lounge the other night and it was a wonderful discovery! The place is small but incredibly welcoming, with an atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at ease. We started with an appetizer of "Veg Samosas": they were filled with potatoes, super flavorful and pleasantly spicy. We loved them! For main courses, we tried two types of chicken. I chose the classic curry, which was very good, flavorful and just the right amount of spiciness, even though it was a flavor I was already familiar with. But the real revelation of the evening was the "Butter Chicken": it was by far the best dish! Simply amazing. The chicken literally melted in your mouth and had a rich, enveloping yet delicate flavor. An excellent experience. I highly recommend it to everyone, and don't miss that Butter Chicken.
