We had a wonderful dinner; fish was fresh and tasty; overall quality is well above average. A great choice of wines at reasonable prices. The “osso” is a not to miss appetizer. The small square inside the historical center makes the experience unique.

This restaurant is so authentically local/nice that it’s hard to believe it’s 3 blocks off the cathedral square! Best dish was the bone marrow. People also rave about the octopus and the amuse bush version was great. Service is friendly and very chatty. Great meal, great night.

Dinner with friends, who also love good food and in fact this is what we found at Cucina Valoria!
Elegant and intimate place surrounded by the historic buildings of Genoa, but despite this the service is very familiar and friendly... in short we even had some laughs.
The food was really high quality, I personally loved "L'osso" marrow au gratin with prawn tartare and caviar!
I will definitely go back.

The pacheri with shrimp is outstanding. Perfectly balanced in terms of flavor: the richness of the cheese and cream sauce, the texture of the pasta, and the freshness of the shrimp. The contrast between the hot pasta and the cooler shrimp adds to the experience. My heart feels warm and delighted with the first bite.
The belgian grilled steak is a standout. It's well-done on the surface and perfectly cooked inside. However, it's not hard or dry. The steak is served with a type of bitter greens (look and taste like radichio, but green) which creates a balance in flavor and prevents it from being too heavy.
The bread: the most amazing whole grain black bread I've tried. Crunchy with a subtle sweetness.
Red wine: good quality. A bit stronger than usual red wine. No unpleasant aftertaste.
Atmosphere: We sat by the door. The decoration is simple but elegant.
Service: The waitress is friendly and helpful. There was no English menu at the time, but she introduced the food based on our preferences. They also offered a free cup of octopus with tomato for each person to eat with bread.
What they can improve:
- Not sure if this is the same in every restaurant in Italia, but they brought bread to us without informing that they are not free. And not once, but twice. IMO, the server should ask their customer about any charged item before serving them.
- The chef is super friendly and chat with...every other customers, but gave us quite a cold shoulder. We are an Asian couple and we can barely talk Italian. But I just lay out facts, not to imply anythings!!!

A gem in Genoa. The staff and crew are excellent. Davide is always there to greet and explain the menu and specials. I’ve eaten here four times in last few months and each time is a treat. The octopus on mashed potatoes is excellent. I’ve had it three times! Everything was cooked perfectly. One of my favorites when I’m in Genoa.

Nascosto nei caruggi di Genova c'è questo ottimo ristorante. L'ambiente è semplice ma curato, il menu con i prodotti del giorno, il personale a partire dal titolare estremamente gentile e professionale. Ho mangiato dei paccheri all'amatriciana di gamberi rosa veramente spettacolari. Purtroppo mi ero appena rimpinzato di focaccia e non sono riuscito a mangiare altro. Anche i miei colleghi estremamente soddisfatti. Sicuramente da tornare

What can I say, this restaurant is more than worth a visit if you are in the city. Amazing food, great location and ambiance and fantastic chef and team.
The only disappointment was that I was only there for the day and not able to go again.
The food is fresh and the chef puts his own style on the menu. All cooked with style and flair with great taste.
If i`m back in the city i`ll be visiting again.
