This is the famous trattoria with home-style food you've always been looking for. The ladies in the kitchen know their stuff, and the waitress was the sweetest and most patient person I've ever met. Everything was delicious! My pork rind roll was a delight. The cod with cabbage and the gnocchi alla Sorrentina were equally delicious. It's a far cry from the burgers at those restaurants thronging Vomero. Give me a break. This is Naples!

Today for lunch we went to the trattoria da Peppe where we ate an appetizer for 2 people consisting of: fried polenta, arancini, pasta crescere and crocche'; the quantity was just right and we liked it. Followed by two first courses specifically "Lo scarpariello": good. We concluded with two slices of lemon caprese (very good and genuine) accompanied by an excellent limoncello! Conclusion: I recommend it!

03/11/2025: Place was very busy but we were seated in the back. Server was very friendly and realised we struggled with Italian and switched to perfect English. Despite being very busy the server came over with the bottles of each wine we wanted a glass of and allowed us to taste before serving. The wine was a fresh bottle and needed to breathe and after it had done was delicious. Full of locals and a nice communal atmosphere with everyone having a good time.
24/10/2025: The service is a little slow, but everything is truly delicious. It's a quiet, well-attended place. I recommend it!

12/10/2025: A great pub in the heart of Ischia Porto! The owners and staff are friendly, professional, and fast! Everything was delicious: coffee, beers, drinks, bruschetta, sandwiches, and salads. I highly recommend it!
