Located inside the fortress with a magnificent view of the lake and the village. Exceptional pinsa. The dough and toppings were truly delicious; we ordered gricia and ciauscolina. The desserts were also very good, including chocolate soufflé and torta della nonna. Very kind staff and excellent advice. Excellent value.

A very pleasant place at sunset

A very nice location, especially if you eat outside, but the inside is also very welcoming. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is good, especially the cold dishes and pinsa. We ordered mushroom risotto, which was truly awful: overcooked rice and an artificial mushroom flavor. I would avoid offering dishes they don't know how to make. Otherwise, a nice place!

The food was very good and surprisingly inexpensive for the location. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were dog-friendly; our dog got water before we even asked for it.

Romantic, quiet, and relaxing. Excellent pinsa.

It's a stunning place, with a sweeping view of the lake, and of course of the fortress, its ruins, and its meadows. But not only that, the beauty and charm of the location don't detract from the quality of the menu. We ordered paniscia (for those who don't know, it's a rice dish with legumes—beans, in our case, but can also be cornetti or other legumes, alone or in combination)—meat, and more. It's a typical dish of the farmers of the Novara rice fields, where the inevitable rice was accompanied by whatever was available. Then, more rice, but with porcini mushrooms. Two identical dishes? Not at all. Rice, yes, but prepared differently: one "rustic" (paniscia) and one more, let's say, "snobbish" (porcini). Both very well prepared! Washed down with an excellent white Roero DOCG. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to offer advice. Reservations are highly recommended.
