Ciopan Sea Food In Anzio

Today, on my way back from Rome and too late for lunch, I stopped at Ciopan. I had eggplant parmigiana and octopus with potatoes. Everything was delicious, congratulations. Since I tried it, I've also been going there for breakfast, and they also have good bread. Well done, congratulations! When I go for breakfast, I always get excellent service. The yeast dough is good, and I can confirm that over time it has always remained at an excellent level.

On a trip to Anzio/Nettuno over the weekend, I stopped at this place 2-3 times. It's renowned in the area for its history and the number of outlets, but I have to say that's the only reason it's famous. Every time I've been there, there have been some problems, until today, where the prices were almost ridiculous. 1 small portion of vegetables, half a chicken with potatoes, 2 meatballs, and a chocolate bomb cost €27. Madness, given the small portions. It would have been easier to stop at a restaurant and not at the diner. Furthermore, when I asked for a single slice of pizza, the clerk decided to give me two, and once I got home, the surprise: she forgot to put the bomb in the bag with all the other things I'd bought: Coke and bread. They raised the price to €31.50. I'd even be willing to pay them, but certainly not for the quality they provide. Dry chicken, meatballs in a sauce that I'd describe as more like soup, flavorless baked potatoes, and the croissants and bombe that I've had on other occasions are completely empty inside, with the usual drizzle of cream or whatever. Other times, there have been issues with the pizza order in terms of timing and toppings chosen. The dough isn't bad, but the constant mistakes put you off coming back, not to mention the unjustifiably expensive price!

I stopped for lunch. I had pork shank with a side of zucchini in scapece. I also tried some delicious sautéed herbs. The small sandwiches that accompany the dish are the kind of thing you can't get enough of. The food was excellent, and the staff was friendly and able to accommodate the requests of so many people almost simultaneously.
