We stumbled upon this place almost by chance; it was the only one open in Piazza Duomo in Piacenza at 10:30 on a Saturday night. The window display is small; if it weren't for the lights, we wouldn't have even noticed, but inside is a delightful little room where we enjoyed an excellent hot chocolate with cream. We'll definitely be back.

I only had an aperitif, and the cocktail was well-made. It came with a small caper tray with a few chips, some bitter chips, a few olives, and two small bowls of creamy sauce—good. But without a slice of bread, a crouton, where would it go? I had to eat it like that.... The service is good and precise, and the staff is polite. The interior is small but cute and well-kept. Outside, you have the square and the Duomo in front of you, very beautiful. I think that for the price of the cocktail (certainly in line with other places), a few more chips wouldn't have hurt, although, to be fair, we asked for them and they arrived without a problem!

With two Franciacortas, I deserved a crisp to nibble on. Maybe next time.... Nice place in the center of Piacenza.

We had breakfast here and it was a fantastic experience. He made everything fresh from cutting the meat and cheese for our hot ham sandwiches to squeezing the orange juice fresh. A great start to the day.

Antica Trattoria Strà

20/01/2026: Excellent restaurant, excellent hospitality, good food, but the room temperature is cold. Turn on the radiators well before opening and keep the thermostat high. This is the only negative note. We will return in the summer.
31/12/2025: The restaurant owner was very kind and welcomed us on short notice (even though the kitchen was about to close). The staff were professional and the food was delicious!

10/05/2025: Locale posto in zona alta, caratteristico l'aspetto di un piccolo casale, dispone di una sala interna ed una sala esterna coperta abbastanza grande, buon distanziamento tra i tavoli esterni, l'unica pecca è la pavimentazione che non consente proprio una buona sistemazione in alcuni punti per la seduta. Il servizio è stato buono, personale gentile e poi c'era salvatore uno dei camerieri che gestiva la sala che è stato davvero simpatico. Offre sia un servizio con menù alla carta, anche se il menù non era disponibile, ed un menù fisso che prevede degli antipasti, un primo, dolce e bevande incluse ad un prezzo normale. I prodotti buoni alcuni si percepiva la provenienza locale ed anche ben preparati.
04/05/2025: Siamo capitati per caso in questo agriturismo ed essendoci trovato molto bene, abbiamo replicato anche la sera successiva a Pasqua. Agriturismo inserito nel verde con una bellissima vista sul Golfo, cibo cucinato molto bene e piatti vari per tutti i gusti. Menzione d'onore per la signora che ci ha servito entrambe le sere, gentilissima e molto simpatica!
