A kiosk right in the center. Very quick. The lampredotto sandwich was good and very cheap. In a somewhat chaotic square.

They were more than good, I ate three in one sitting. Great product, price, and service. Very local food.

If you find yourself in Florence, right next to the statue of the Porcellino and the adjacent market under the portico, there is a kiosk that cannot be ignored: the lampredotto sandwich! Discovered almost by chance while I was photographing the statue of the "porcellino", attracted by the smell and the line of people chatting with a glass of wine in their hands. It is a typical sandwich of the area filled with lampredotto (which is actually an offal, like tripe), slowly cooked in a tasty broth, and served with green or spicy sauce. The bread is dipped in the hot broth... a real bomb of flavor! The owners, kind and very fast, tell you about the sandwich while they serve you. An authentic, tasty and decidedly Florentine experience. Maybe it is not for everyone's palate, but if you want to taste the true soul of Florence, here you are in the right place.

If you are in Florence and want to taste one of the true traditional flavours, the Chiosco del Lampredotto is a must. I had a really excellent lampredotto sandwich, tasty and freshly prepared, for only €5. The quality is excellent and the flavor authentic, exactly as it should be. Furthermore, you can accompany the sandwich with a glass of wine for just €1, or with a whole bottle for €3, which is now rare to find. All in a genuine, no-frills atmosphere, where you can breathe the true Florence of the past. The staff is fast and friendly, used to serving both loyal Florentines and curious tourists. Waiting times are short even if there is often a queue, a sign of the excellent reputation of the place. Highly recommended for those who want to live an authentic experience, eat well without spending much and enjoy a piece of Tuscan tradition. When I return to Florence, I already know that I will make another stop there!

If you want to eat a good sandwich with lampredotto, this is the right place to stop... very tasty lampredotto, I had to queue for a while but only because it was Easter Monday, good service
