Trattoria Cheterena never disappoints. Home cooking of excellent quality, quality wines, rustic atmosphere. Maybe this last time the service was not really adequate, but all this does not take anything away from the rest.

Siamo stati al pranzo di Pasqua in questa trattoria. Già in fase di prenotazione Loretta è stata carinissima e superdisponibile. Avevamo prenotato 3 menù più una bambina e un menù con intolleranze. Loretta è stata super nella gestione e nella contrattazione del programma. Il personale di sala carino e disponibile. Il menù buono per tutti. Le pietanze adeguate e abbondanti (c'era sempre il bis). Veramente ci siamo sentiti come a casa. Torneremo assolutamente.

This family-run trattoria, which I've known and frequented for years, is located in several historic and charming rooms in the center of Fognano. The food is excellent, and I'm always delighted to be surprised by something new, like the succulent thrushes cooked in a pan last time. The homemade pasta honors tradition and the most authentic flavors of the Apennines—mushrooms, truffles, and game—are the perfect accompaniment. The game-style crostini, truffle cappelletti, and passatelli are excellent, among the best in Romagna. The pigeon is also delicious, as are all the main courses. The house wine is genuine, and the hostess's hospitality is always extraordinary. For me, Cheterena is a place where you can relax and enjoy the best of refreshments, with a truly wonderful chemistry between the atmosphere, the people, and the food!

Always an intimate place, thanks to the delightful hostess and the family atmosphere. One of the favorite restaurants also of my father-in-law, who is very difficult to please. From the menu some dishes always stand out over others, which are all basically delicious, but some of them really leave their mark, in terms of execution and ingredients. The game crostini are delicious when present, the passatelli are surprising and are far from easy to find correct in consistency and flavour: almost all of them use too much breadcrumbs to prevent them from falling apart, making them excessively tough and flavourless. These are meltable without falling apart, tasty, adorable. We then all 3 choose the pigeon but there were only two portions left, but it went much, much better that way because as an alternative there were... Thrushes! Years, I think a decade at least, since I had the pleasure of finding them. We were also thrilled with the recipe chosen, juicy and very tasty. Here they know how to do the hunting really well, all that we have tried over the years, but as mentioned the whole menu deserves attention

A business run with passion and courtesy. The dishes are truly delicious. The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming. I highly recommend it!

I had tried this Trattoria about 15 years ago and had a good memory, today I returned and I must say with pleasure that my memories were true. Simple, genuine and varied traditional cuisine. Good vegetarian dish, but exquisite passatelli alla Pablo. Worth mentioning is the chestnut cake with zabaglione.
