Chalet Altobelli In Petrella salto

Ci siamo fermati per caso in questo chalet, quindi senza prenotazione. Personale gentile e buon cibo, prezzi più che onesti. Abbiamo mangiato fuori sotto ad un pergolato di uva con una vista meravigliosa. Ben accetta anche la nostra cagnolina. Ritornerò per assaggiare la carne alla brace.

Changed management definitely improved. Everything was excellent and plentiful. We will definitely be back

I am a summer visitor, the Altobelli chalet is one of the few structures that develop along the splendid setting of the Salto valley. This makes it its strong point, immersed in uncontaminated nature, maintaining the soul of the typical chalet/mountain refuge, while enjoying a large outdoor terrace which overlooks Lake Salto, bringing back "marine" scents, but immersed in the fresh from the mountains.

I have been coming for years, the food is genuine, a menu of just a few pages but very good things, the grilled meat is top notch, the homemade pasta is wonderful and then, what should not be underestimated, they also take dogs, highly recommended for a lunch out of town

I went for lunch with a group of around 40 people (adults and children), booking well in advance. Telephone availability was the sore point of everything (I must have called 6 times and the owners were only available to take the reservation on the last call). All in all, we had a good time at the restaurant and ate well (the quality and cooking were not excellent) at very reasonable prices. The service was a bit slow (we arrived at 1.30pm and started eating at 2.20pm). The external pergola was really nice, well-kept and tidy (even though it was quite hot). The bathroom should be cleaned more regularly. As for cell phones, they only take some carriers (like Vodafone) and not others. There is ample free parking, a bar and a beach (both free and equipped) where there is also a pedalo rental point at a cost of €10.00 per hour for 4 people. Overall, positive experience🤗

We returned like every year to eat at the historic Altobelli, we ate well but unfortunately they no longer make pizzas so we took the meat and the lemon agnolotti, it's a shame that the menu is not very varied and some typical local products are missing, like the Whitefish. Waiters pay little attention to the tables. I confirm my opinion on the not very varied menu, the waiters try to be more present but the service remains slow. The state of the bathroom is inconceivable. Spray sink, tell us from the shower... maintenance ???

Il posto merita già solo per la cura degli spazi esterni dove mangiare con vista lago. Aggiungeteci la cordialità e la celerità di personale e servizio, la cucina alla brace ottima e sarete soddisfatti come noi di aver trascorso un bel pranzo al Lago del Salto.
