Excellent food. I didn't order the cacio e pepe because they don't make it like in Rome. However, the large ricotta and spinach ravioli and lemon tortelli with pistachios were truly excellent.
The gentleman, whose name I don't remember but I think he was the oldest, offered us a bunch of grapes (they had plenty to pick from the vines covering the outside of the restaurant).
I also recommend it for those of us who were in a campervan at the IL GHIRO rest area just a stone's throw away.

I tried all three restaurants in town, but Chalet Altobelli was the one that gave me the most peace of mind. We dined outside under the gazebo: despite the rain, we stayed outside thanks to the attentive staff, who opened an umbrella to shelter us and, in the meantime, had already set up a table inside as an alternative. The food was excellent: a truly tasty mixed platter, a good amatriciana, and perfectly cooked meat. Fair prices, in line with the area. The staff and the owner were very friendly. The ginzana is also highly recommended!

We ended up here by mistake because we were on a day trip to the lake... we'd found it based on other reviews.
Wonderful place, totally relaxing, very good food from appetizer to main course.
The only flaw, perhaps if we can call it that, is that the menu offers limited choices... otherwise, highly recommended.
