A unique place with the friendliness of the past. I arrived passing by on my bike and I took the opportunity to get a sandwich and a drink. The environment is wonderful, serene and relaxing, which I really appreciate. The vast choice of cured meats made me opt for a sandwich which I enjoyed on the terrace with pleasant background music and a spectacular and relaxing landscape, certainly the beautiful sunny day contributed

We only came for the coffee, a cappuccino with a nutty undertone. The owner was showing us one of the many paintings on display because she noticed our interest in her unique gallery. A very inspiring place with a view of the bay... If you are a creative person, I recommend a longer stay. You won't be bored even while walking in the nearby area.

What a great location with beautiful views. Lovely terrace and what a nice staff. The food is really delicious. You immediately feel welcome here. We are lucky that we can sleep a few nights at this beautiful location. Clean room and bathroom.

The inside of this café is extremely inviting with ample seating and perfect atmosphere. At 420 meter the café also provides a stunning view of the mountains and the ocean in the distance. On a hot summer day the slight breeze on the terrace is perfect. Because of the altitude the terrace is anyway a couple of degrees cooler than nearby Lucca (30min) or Pisa (45min). They offer a simple menu with good food. Very pleasant service. And reasonable prices. Come to watch the beautiful sunset. Or, if you want during the day, time for ice cream, or an excellent coffee! Five stars it is.

We tried again, after a year, but nothing, unfortunately there is a lot to review. The old management offered a limited but truly quality menu with fast service, now they can be considered "snacks" and cold dishes, no more; but what is missing is the care (bread only on request), errors due to foreign staff, probably the new owners. Young and kind but totally unsuitable for that job because, not understanding the requests well, there are often errors and shortcomings when the dishes arrive. Another sore point is the very long times; It can't take half an hour for a sliced ​​tomato and a burrata to put on a plate, no, we're not there. If you have to spend €50 for two you at least expect that the little and cold thing that is offered is fast and accurate. Minimum. The location and the view are stupendous with a 360° view, perhaps the most beautiful in all of Lucca... It deserves better dishes (and it would take so little!) and you would have to queue while you go there. once and you won't come back. I'm sorry because before for us it was a fixed and regenerating stop against the heat of the center of Lucca.
