31/12/2025: A good AYCE Japanese restaurant in Saronno. I've visited several locations of this chain outside Milan, and I have to say that, in my opinion, this location is the best of their ten or so restaurants. The atmosphere maintains a family feel, although this is partly reflected in the professionalism of the service, which still has room for improvement. The fish is fresh and good quality, with some dishes that stand out for their flavor and originality. The Italian cuisine is also highly praised, surprisingly good and comparable to that of a good osteria, albeit with a limited selection of first and second courses. The ravioli deserve special mention, as they seem homemade: a detail not to be taken for granted in this type of restaurant and certainly a sign of commitment and attention. The service is basic, sufficient for a quiet and pleasant dinner, without great pretensions. The staff is not particularly professional, as is often the case in family-run establishments, but they are friendly and helpful. A small note on the prices of Panna mineral water, which are quite high: it almost seems like a choice to incentivize the use of treated house water, especially since I didn't notice many tables ordering bottled water. Overall, considering the "industrial" nature of AYCE restaurants, Sushi Club Saronno—smaller than the larger 250-300-seat establishments—still manages to maintain the care and attention typical of a family-run business. A pleasant place to return to, especially for those looking for a more intimate and less impersonal AYCE restaurant.
