Castel Latemar In Nova levante

Historic hotel in the area. It was recommended to us by friends who have been frequenting the area for years. We stayed for one night and adapted without problems. The interior could use a little sprucing up but all in all it offers what you need and at the level of a 3 star hotel. There is no lift in the structure. Helpful and friendly staff. The scent of bathroom products leaves a beautiful memory. From the window you can admire a wonderful panorama. The Hotel also offers a catering service through a restaurant attached to the structure; it can be reached without having to leave the structure. The restaurant staff were very friendly; we ate well.

Beautiful hotel near Lake Carezza. Stunning outside, very characteristic inside. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Abundant breakfast, with lots of variety. Lunch is also good. Spectacular views of Latemar and Catinaccio. Direct access to the ski slopes, sauna included included in the price. Comfortable room, with bathroom with window, space for suitcases and clothes. The only negative thing is the presence of the carpet, which makes the room really dusty; the shelves in the bathroom had not been cleaned. However, I would happily go back.

If you are planing a trip and considering this place for your stay, I would recommend it, as it offers a relatively good price comparing to other options around, and its location is optimal for achieving the bus stops to/from Bolzano; restaurants (one in the hotel, 3-4 more around); to skiing cable cars Paolina, Lauren, etc). But, I don’t want your expectation to be high, there’s no 3 star experience here. Don’t get me wrong, the room is clean, the stuff is friendly and speaks 3 languages, the hotel has breakfasts, spa, billiard table, a few nice terraces full of snow. It’s very warm in the nights and during the day inside. But it’s still far from 3 stars, and here’s why: - the room doesn’t have a fridge/mini bar, no vending machine in the building - the closest market to buy snacks is 20 mins away; - there’s no simple kettle and tea/coffee/bottle of water set in the room (the only kettle you find is in the spa); - TV has 12 local channels, no smart TV option; - even though the spa is included in the price, the slippers and robe will cost additional €8 per person; - there’s no elevator in the building, so if you live on the last floor (2 floors higher than reception), you will need to walk 4 floors down and back to make yourself a hot tea in the spa; or 3 floors down and back to reach the bar to make an order (if the bar still works); - no phone to call a reception to ask for anything; - breakfasts are moderate. So if you are young, and coming here to spend most of time out, this is the place for you. Great value for money (especially if you have your slippers, kettle, cup, tea, smart TV, and snacks). If you expect comfort and great in-hotel experience, this is not the right choice. So don’t get your hopes up!

Hotel located located on the slopes, great view. We stayed with our child and it was really convenient both for reaching the bobsleigh track, for skiing and for walking in the woods. Functional and very welcome sauna and Turkish bath. Dinner at the restaurant could improve in quality. Quiet and functional! Advised. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Nothing was missing.

Beautiful structure, with an ancient flavor, in an excellent position. Spartan but warm, welcoming rooms. Good breakfast. Negative notes: cleaning a little deficient and evening catering not adequate for the rest, food so and so, even the service in the restaurant is a little abrupt and not attentive to the customer. If the restaurant improved it would be 5 stars.

We had a great deal for a week, all inclusive, rentals and ski passes for 2 adults and one child. The rooms were ok, cleaned nicely. Unlike the reviews, the dinners were tasty with variety every evening. Location is perfect as you can reach the hotel from Hubertus slope and likewise leave on skis. The bus stop 2 minutes away for the bus which takes you to Bolzano. Overall, we are very satisfied and would come back.

We wanted to go motorcycling in South Tyrol again in October and then came across this hotel. The room with breakfast was more than ok. Since the hotel was pretty empty at the time, we had the wellness area to ourselves in the evening. You can eat well in the attached restaurant. There is a garage for motorcycles. We would come back again.
