Located near Via Etnea, this bakery offers a variety of typical Sicilian desserts and especially cassatelle di Agira, with many flavours. Excellent welcome and excellent service.

It looks like a fairy tale café, with some decorative books. Cassatelle were amazing, the frutti di bosco one the best, also chocolate+almond+cinnamon and orange were very good. Enjoyable snack break with also good coffes.

Stayed at the yard hostel and can only recommend getting your pastry here! The cornetto pistachio was the best I had in Catania.

Checked out Cassatelle e Caffè. They had four gluten free options along with granite and pastries. The worker was friendly and spoke perfect English. - Pistacchio granite (2,50€) - delicious. One of my favourite granites that we tried - Pesca cassatelle senza gluten (2,50€) - Pistacchio cassatelle senza gluten (2,50€) - Rame di napoli pistacchio (1,00€)

Turismo Rurale Fontana del Cherubino

20/10/2024: Fontana del Cherubino is a wonderful place mainly because of the owner, Mr. Mario. He is a wonderful man who puts his whole heart into this place, taking care of the comfort and convenience of guests. Breakfast in Italian style, a big advantage is their own products such as olive oil and lemon jam. At any time we could count on help and good advice related to sightseeing on the island. We felt at home there. The apartments are very nice. The swimming pool, although small, was a great fun for the children. The view from the terrace of the often active Etna made the evenings more pleasant. Very good location as a base for sightseeing in the eastern part of Sicily.
26/08/2024: Enchanting place ideal location to move around Etna super quiet with a beautiful swimming pool .... excellent and abundant breakfast with different courses to spoil their guests .... Bar La Scala

29/01/2025: Given that we were in the camper in December so we didn't have any parking problems. Upon arrival we were welcomed and all the services offered by the rest area were explained in detail, which we found clean and functional. The shuttle service is also excellent as it avoids having to go down and back up from the beach to the area. The Scala dei Turchi is a spectacle of nature and must absolutely be seen!
15/01/2025: Graveled parking area without much charm, but very nice views and close to the Scala dei Turchi. Nice reception. The sanitary facilities are simple but functional and clean. The price of 15€/night for a camper, two people without electricity is appropriate for the service offered.
