"ANYONE WHO DOESN'T LOVE ANIMALS IS NOT WELCOME" This is the sign that greets us from the entrance, and it says it all. An old 19th-century farmhouse, nestled in the Ferrara countryside, where goats, geese, chickens, turkeys, and peacocks live happily...almost in freedom. The rooms envelop you in an embrace of history and passion, with a large fireplace and a spectacular grill. The cuisine is excellent, typical of Ferrara, using almost exclusively local produce. Cappellacci, cappelletti, fried polenta, cured meats, and cheeses with unparalleled flavor. And then there's the meat corner...where the first-rate selection brings pure goodness to the table. The selection of traditional desserts is delicious. All this is strictly homemade. Strictly prepared by Alberto, owner for over 24 years, whose knowledge, expertise, and culinary mastery surpass all imagination. A word of advice...if you're not up to arguing with him about the menu selection and the quality of the dishes, don't dare. It's a waste of time...he's too knowledgeable. Just let him advise you, and it will be an experiential journey through true Ferrarese cuisine. I forgot...the wine and grappa cellar is astonishing...with rarities worth over a thousand euros. We stopped at the best San Giovesi, the one we've never tasted...obviously, the "Le Civette" label.

Super welcoming atmosphere and fantastic food! Alberto is always the best! I've been going to Le Civette for years because the meat is top-quality, the wine list is carefully selected, and the staff is knowledgeable and always cheerful. They really make you feel at home! very good meat, not excellent compared to other restaurants, so-so quality/price ratio, but we will gladly return to try the rest of the menu, and because it is a very nice place and the owner is very kind
