Casale Firriato In Canicattì

The restaurant is located on a side street off the Canicattì Nord exit. Small but charming. Excellent food. Characteristic with antique decorations.

This evening we chose this place for a dinner with friends. The road to get there is a bit tricky. Parking is insufficient for the number of people who can fit inside, so it needs to be doubled; last night, we had at least 120 people. The place, due to its character, is more of a family-run trattoria. In the summer, there's also the option of dining outside. The welcome was good, but could be improved, as could the overall service, which affects the wait in the dining room, even for dishes that could be served in a reasonable amount of time given that they're already prepared (such as pork shank, roulades, appetizers, baked potatoes). It's clear that the kitchen staff can't rationally follow orders, undoubtedly because they're not supported by at least two kitchen assistants; simply bringing the excellent fuazze to start is not enough to have to wait over an hour for everything else. We arrived at 8:45 PM and left at 11:30 PM; There were tables that still needed to be served. Luckily, everything we ordered was very good; the homemade dessert (ricotta ravioli) was exceptional. Recommended for the menu.

The food was incredibly tasty and fresh! The owner is extremely nice and gave us recommendations according to our preferences. It feels like my grandmas cooking! Will come back here

Great restaurant with excellent food and generous portions. We received a very warm welcome and service. The atmosphere and decor are lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant.
