A small restaurant inside a cobbled alley near the square with a partial square view. The short lunch menu runs for two hours alongside the usual focaccia and cakes. The porcini lasagne tea is sublime and the Nicosia salad was fresh and just enough. The service however is slow and twice they forgot the knives and forks. Still I would go back for a coffee.

A good traditional pastry bar (it is the second opening after the one in Piazza Garibaldi) in the center of Alessandria. External dehor and well furnished second floor. Advised!

23/11/2025: Very welcoming, they greet you with a big smile! Typical dishes, simple but very good: agnolotti, slow-cooked bacon, tongue with an excellent sauce, peppers in bagnacauda.... Compliments to the managers and staff.
01/11/2025: Since I last stopped here, about four years ago, I've found the atmosphere and food to have deteriorated somewhat, with prices higher than the quality. It's a huge shame to see this business decline in quality like this. I hope it was just a bad day. It will still be a favorite.

Bar-Pasticceria-Gelateria "San Lorenzo"

02/10/2025: I had the paella for my 30th birthday and both I and my guests were so happy. It was the best in the Vicenza area by far. We'll definitely be making it again. A well-deserved 5 stars.
18/09/2025: I went for lunch one Sunday with family and friends (about 20 people in total). Despite the large number, we had a great time. The staff and service were friendly and helpful. The same menu catered for everyone. The Prosecco, Vezzena, and rosemary risotto was delicious. They even asked for seconds. For my cousin's children, despite choosing the same menu, they prepared tomato pasta and a main course of roast beef and cooked vegetables. I didn't want meat, so I had a large salad and they asked me if I had any preferences. Desserts, water, wine, and coffee were also included. The price was very fair (about 20 euros per person). I would honestly go back.
