I ate at this place today for lunch, which was also decent, but the service could be significantly improved, especially considering the price paid. Almost 50 euros per person for an appetizer and a fried dish, whether chicken or fish, I was charged the same. The house wine was opened and already poured into the glass for the modest sum of 20 euros, coffees 3 euros each. Personally, we may have chosen the wrong day, despite the very low turnout, which should have suggested something to us, but it definitely needs improvement...

I dont really do reviews often, especially since Im on vacation and come from Pennsylvania, but this was genuinely one of the best restaurants I've eaten at. Ive eaten at Progress Grille, Tavern on the Hill, Mangia Qui in PA (all fine dining), and even world famous Byrnes Steakhouse in Tampa, but none of the steaks from there came close to the steak here, in a random town in Italy. I cant speak for the hotel but Im sure its on par with quality of the restaurant. The little Mozzarella sandwiches with all the sauces was amazing, the jelly/honey was mind blowing. and the vegetables that came with the lambs chops are also mind blowing. Such a cozy and welcoming environment as well in a nice location, perfect for any nice night out.

The promise is high: the menu sets the bar high.
The dishes live up to the promise.
Personally, I think the fried lamb is a misstep because, although excellent, the flavor of the lamb is overpowered by the frying... but of course, that's just my opinion.
Excellent service and dishes overall. The place is beautiful and centrally located.

With my wife, as tourists from Emilia, we enjoyed our holiday dinner here twice. In both cases I must say, we had... Fun. Casa Gala offers a menu that features both tradition and the creativity of those who prepare it, or dare we say, their own fun. The dishes, in addition to being in generous portions, are bold (you have to be quite brave to offer stretched curd cheeses and seafood on the same plate!) and therefore imaginative. This is also evidenced by the names and descriptions of the dishes, which we enjoyed as much as the ingredients on the plate because they spoke to us of an idea and stories to tell. The service was an impeccable companion to this spinal choice of the place, playful and at the same time cared for. I don't know if this was the perfect experience, but this was certainly a fully human experience that we will keep as a beautiful memory, on the plate we met people, not just professionals. Take advantage of the tables in the alley that, even if they won't be in the cover photo, will guarantee you can chat and therefore fully enjoy everything. Thank you!

First holiday in Montecatini Alto with my husband. We immediately explore the village and conclude the tour by looking for a place to have dinner. The square is full of proposals, but among all of them we choose Casa Gala for the menu and for the general impression given by the place, despite being very close to the live music station that at that moment entertained the many tourists, and therefore suffered from the unbalanced volume due to the short distance from the amplification, which was a disturbance for us due to the desire for greater tranquility.
We were immediately offered to sit at one of the tables in the adjacent violin: wonderful! First plus, if you love to enjoy the (delicious) dishes in tranquility, chatting and savoring the experience. The service continued to be excellent: professional but also easy-going, attentive but not invasive.
The dishes (which we shared, because we like to taste many different things) all have their own personality, the ingredients are of undoubted quality, the variety can satisfy all tastes.
The search for classics and more eccentric dishes emerges, combinations of unusual flavors made with elegance, without overdoing it and without wanting to surprise all tastes. In short, thanks to chef Simone!
In the end we happily returned on the last evening, also canceling a previous reservation in other restaurants to have the opportunity to taste other dishes.
Moreover, we ordered more than usual just to enjoy this last evening: we got up full, but not at all heavy, despite the fried foods and dessert ordered purely for gluttony. Whether they wisely measured the doses based on our orders, or if everything was simply particularly good I can't say, but the quality/price ratio is definitely excellent!
Highly recommended!
Bonus: there was a wonderful breeze in the alley!

Era diverso tempo che volevo tornare a Casa Gala da Chef Simone Malucchi e oltre per il buon cibo anche per un pò di aria fresca.. Senza aver prenotato e alle 22.00 di sera ci hanno fatto accomandare lungo la strada adiacente il ristorante, molto intima e ben curata. Che dire... Tutto favoloso, i pici con le alici, la parmigiana col pane carasau, il baccalà... ma LA CARBONARA è la carbonara.... di una bontà... il tutto accompagnato da un ottimo vino... Lo consiglio e ci tornerò/torneremo....

Abbiamo deciso di festeggiare i nostri primi dieci anni di matrimonio, la fine di un mutuo,e i ns compleanni proprio in questo luogo..... nonostante sapevo da tempo dell'esistenza di questo ristorante, non ho mai avuto l'occasione di andarci xchè sono una persona notevolmente stucca...mio marito le primissime volte che mi portava fuori a cena chiedeva il menù prima...quindi ... è dura con me...
Appena entrati si nota un posto con un arredamento che dà molto calore ed è accogliente e ben curato e soprattutto pulito,( basta guardare in alto e qua e là e si nota la pulizia dei molti soprammobili particolari e delle lampade), personale disponibile e attento...
Una cosa che ha fatto guadagnare notevolmente punti a favore già in partenza a questo luogo è stato un manifesto attaccato al bancone di una mostra a Firenze "senzaatomica"che c'è fino al 23/03 a Santa Maria Novella che ho personalmente visitato e di cui son membro di uno degli organizzatori ..
Io ho cercato di scegliere a parte il "Tagliere Gala" pieno di roba,crostino con burrata me lo sognerò la notte cmq un mix di gusti crostini e affettati x qualsiasi palato,ci ha spelluzzicato anche la bimba di 5 anni e mezzo... fantastico ma cmq un antipasto particolare ma comune...
"Sardegna Giappone andata e ritorno" salmone e pane carasau contornati da radicchio e salsa misteriosa rendevano il connubio di gusti piacevoli e delicati al palato dice il marito...
X quanto riguarda i primi, semplicemente un mix di sapori delicati, non pesanti, che anche se alcune cose non ho compreso cos'erano ci stavano bene e non tornavano a gola..
Diciamo una fantasia di ingredienti che io a casa non faccio ma che sono un ganzata insieme...
X finire la crema catalana spolverata da noi grandi e dalla piccina deliziosa e calda ...
Un appunto x chi ha furia, state a casa vostra...il servizio dell'uscita del piatto è lento, credo siano piatti creati sul momento di qualità, non preocotti o congelati quindi a differenza di molti altri luoghi ho apprezzato xchè crea dialogo al tavolo...e ti va giù il piatto prima ...si da ripetere alla prossimo compleanno...
Ah la musica di sottofondo piacevole e molto di compagnia...ditemi il titolo??🤣
Posto eccellente x grandi e piccoli e attenzioni anche verso i cani
